Lets hope we either win enough, or have enough name recognition to jump up a slot if we become eligible. Or as otherwise posted here, find some other game to go to. Or maybe better yet, MSU doesn't become bowl eligible. Perles is still an ass.

And if he chose MSU over a bowl eligible Michigan, and proceeded to watch only 80% of the stadium fill up, I think that'd be appropriate.

That's if everyone ends up tied at the end of the regular season. Who knows what both team's records will be like in three weeks.

There is a good chance Central Michigan would be in that game. That would be an interesting match up against us - of course I would prefer a better bowl.

That would be a crazy matchup. By virtue of in-season victories, Central is the best team in the state beating Eastern, Western, AND State.
The cherry on the top would be beating Michigan, but I would have no idea what to do if both those teams came to play each other. Perhaps the event of them coming to play each other would create a vacuum so strong that even the Space Emperor of Space could not escape it, and I wouldn't have to pick a team to root for.

Well it's a matter of me actually paying tuition to CMU and having friends and people I see everyday there.
Obviously I would root for Michigan, but it would be tough with the shelacking I would get from my friends who also go to Central. Gotta stay strong though.
I don't think Central is going to go to the Little Caesar's bowl anyways. Most likely, it will be the GMAC or some other Southern bowl which is cool with me. I'm tired of seeing them in the Little Caesar's Bowl.

Honestly, I think that would be awesome. I am very frightened of going to the Pizza Bowl. It's going to be a good MAC team that I would not want to face.
My personal hope is that if we go 6-6 that there are 7 Big Ten teams who have 7+ wins. Then the Big Ten bowl slots will be filled and we'll get picked by some other random bowl like Notre Dame did last year. Feasting on the 5th place C-USA teams sounds a lot better than the MAC champion.

None of this matters. Terry Hawthorne doesn't play for Purdue, Wisconsin or OSU so we're obviously going to win out.

Pretty sure most bowls look at revenue versus overall records. Which explains why we were in the Alamo Bowl four years ago.

At this point I would be happy with any bowl because that would mean that we will win one of the last three games. I'm cool with that but starting next year I'm raising my standards back to were they belong...B-10 championship or suicide.

IMO the Pizza Bowl would have to choose UM over MSU. I would image there's more chance of drawing a bigger crowd, bigger TV ratings (nationally), and it's a rare opportunity for the Pizza Bowl to get a team with a name like Michigan to play in their game.

It just usually has Central or Western in front.
