Peppers Play This Year?

Submitted by Black Socks on

At this point it's hard to get excited for the final games of the year.  There is only one thing that I want to see - Peppers play before year end.  Let's face it, he's not going to be in college for 5 years.  Now is the time.  Can he come back from his injury?

Not worth losing a year with this shitty coaching staff. Our secondary is horrible u wouldn't want that to rub off on him. RS and come back next year with a new coaching staff

you can't necessarily just do surgery on something b/c a fan thinks it's the right thing.  Can't do surgery on a kid if his knee is still swollen...just not how it works.  I get you're pissed about our record, as am I.  However, that doesn't mean you jeopordize a kids career by pushing a surgery.

Honestly, I don't get it. The kid has an injury that makes him unlikely to play effectively, if at all. And you want him to burn a potential redshirt for your entertainment? All because you think he's going to be such a star he won't even be here for five years anyway?

 Pass the jug.

If Peppers possibly needs surgery to fix a problem, why in the blue hell are they waiting? I mean this whole we dont talk about injuries is really that important to them?

I really want to believe the arrogance isn't that high....

You are criticizing them based on a complete guess as to what his issue is.

We know that Hoke has said he will disclose any injuries that are definitely season ending...and he has done so with Khalid Hill and Derrick Green. It is logical to conclude that there is a chance Peppers may be able to come back this year.

You can drink beer and play baseball. It is a non contact sport, and no sliding isn't contact. Sorry to upset all of the baseball players, but it's closer to bowling than football.

Avg mlb fast is 89mph. You have 3/16 of a sec to engage. Hardly a comparison to bowling. Don't see only but 1200 players in the world playing mlb baseball.

at his disposal.  i think hes waiting out the pain to see if he can play.  an injury like this cant be made any worse by playing through it.  plus the recovery time for surgery should have him ready for spring ball, but if he had surgery now he would for sure miss the remaining games

"Peppers' injury is working hard at being physical and those kinds of things - especially from a technique sort of thing standpoint. His leg has worked hard all week and has missed class to get in some extra film from a technique defensive footwork mechanical sort of deal thing - SQUIRREL!!!"

My understanding is that he has played in too many games to qualify for a redshirt and he cannot apply for a medical redshirt until he completes all 4 years of eligibility like Gardner did. If he returns next year in good health and then has 2 outstanding seasons he would be eligible and probably likely to enter the NFL draft.

That is wrong. You can apply for medical redshirt when the season is over. You dont have to wait like they did with Gardner. The coaches messed that one up.

Just look at Countess - he got a medical redshirt in 2012 immediately after that year. He played in the Alabama game that year which would make him ineligible for a traditional redshirt.

Just strange things with Peppers.  Is his injury severe?  I know we don't talk about injuries but this has seemed unusual.  The he was getting treatment during 1 game instead of on the sidelines with his teammates?  That didn't pass the smell test, he couldn't get treatment any other time of the week?  There were rumors of problems, hope thy aren't true.

Seriously, if Peppers transferred we would all lose our collective minds.

and you are right about AB 2-0.  I had visions of  Him  Being  The  MAN, in the DB-5 set against Spread-Os.  Or even DB-6 sets these days.  With GMatt using various DB-FireSchemes by which to Attack The Spread-Os.

Now--  he WAS being looked-played at CB, rather than a formal DB-5.  But thats OK--  you defer to the coaches.

IF, he can play this year he should give it a go.  And start working-playing along the above lines.  But this is Absolutley TERRIBLE.

Would not help the-O though.  Which is Ironic--  you might have the same Team Record, even with Peppers Playing FULL-Time.

one word--  Peppers.  Fundamentally--  a kind-of Do-Over for 2015

with Peppers Healthy--  in Full-Form.  Running-Tackling.  For ALL 11-games Plus

ah yes--  The Dreams  . . .
