Much deserved recognition for Jabrill, Jourdan, and Jake.

JD winning the Thorpe would be incredible. Back-to-back all-american caliber seasons. Pretty sure he is tied with Leon Hall's for the career record for PBU's, have to imagine he gets his record clinching break-up this weekend against OSU!

he has amazing open field tackling ability. . .

For his size, it's just uncanny. I'd love to see him matched up on Curtis Samuel.

Per the MGoBlue stats archive, he's already on top:
1) Jourdan Lewis (38)
2) Todd Howard (33)
3) Leon Hall (31)
4) James Whitley (27)
5) Charles Woodson & Marlin Jackson (25)

I noticed that after I posted it... but when you look at the record book, I think it says they both have 43?

That's not right. They flubbed up they entire PBU category on the database. Found this out last year.
Went back into old stats and adding them up and the totals in the U-M record book are the correct ones, except that Jourdan Lewis does NOT have 43. He has 38 if you go back into the stat packets on MGoBlue from 2013 to present and add them up.
The SuperGuide is the only record book that has the correct top-10:
- Leon Hall (43)
- Todd Howard (41)
- Jourdan Lewis (38)
- Marlin Jackson (34)
- Charles Woodson (30)
- James Whitley (28)
- Jeremy LeSueur (27)
- Marion Body (26)
- Markus Curry (25)
- Morgan Trent & Jarrett Irons (24)

My record book also has the correct top 10

Shit...this is the one that had a reminder thread every day.
They shouldn't even have a vote for this one this year.

IMO...
Offensive POY: Saquon Barkley
Coach of the Year: James Franklin/Mike Riley
QB of the Year: JT Barrett
RB of the Year: Saquon Barkley
WR of the Year: Austin Carr
TE of the Year: Jake Butt
OL of the Year: Ryan Ramzyck
Defensive POY: Jourdan Lewis
Freshman of the Year: Mike Weber
DL of the Year: Jaleel Johnson/Carroll Phillips
LB of the Year: Jabrill Peppers
DB of the Year: Jourdan Lewis
Kicker of the Year: Emmitt Carpenter
Punter of the Year: Ron Coluzzi/Cameron Johnston
Specialist of the Year: Jabrill Peppers
...oddly enough, I don't think Peppers is the offensive or defensive player of the year...but if there was just an MVP or B1G POY, I think it would be him hands down. Also don't think Lewis actually wins DPOY because he doesn't have the numbers...and that's kind of the point.

Mackey Award really screwed up by leaving Evan Engram off the list. He's got almost 1000 yards receiving (more than all the finalists), and 8 TDs (Butt and Leggett are tied with 4 each)

Absolutely, just like Lewis not being a finalist last year. They rarely get these things correct to be honest.

maybe they dont consider him a TE? hes like 230 lbs and lines up all over the place (vs mostly TE, at least from what ive seen). was he a semifinalist? if so, thats wild not to be named a finalist bc the dude makes plays

All I know is that them three must have the biggest games of their careers this Saturday. I've had a little bit of whiskey but I know that Jake and Pep need to be ICE fucking cold on offense from the gitgo and all the way through. Lewis needs to make some big plays and lockdown his half of the field. Really need Jake to bring it this game though after a nice two week vacation! He can make the differnece if he is consistently finding the open spots in the passing game. Pep will be Pep. Book it! Oh and congrats to them three gangsters!
