People I hate

Submitted by bouje on

So as I'm in the cab home on my way back from my friends place I decide to go to facebook some of the status updates from our "Michigan fans"

"Dick Rod!"

"Way to go Robinson!"

"For the love of God.... there is nothing better than being up going into the end of the game. get your shit together Michigan, I'm sick of the this last minute bullshit."

I hate fans who bag on 1 player/coach whatever for a loss. It's complete bs you win as a team and you lose as a team. And when you have 5 TO's unless those are 5 picks it is not one persons fault.

I hate fans who are so irrational after a game that they go onto whatever medium that they have and just completely trash people.

This is a team that has 80+ Freshman/Sophomores on it and went 3-9 last year. This was not a National Championship team. Does it suck that we lost in the last minutes again. YES YES IT DOES. But don't bag on one player it just makes you look like an asshole.

It's one thing to be honestly frustrated and question a call, and it's entirely another to trash the team you love. We win as a team and lose as a team. Questionable call? Yes. But not one guy's fault.

we do win as a team and lose as a team but for the love of all thats holy denard robinson is not the qb you want in with two mins left tate has proven so far that he is clutch even though he has a less then stellar game i personally still have faith in tate he should have been in for the last two mins so i guess im contradicting myself but i feel that this lost should be on the coaching tate is your qb of the future you should have more faith and trust in him and not robinson to lead the team on a hopefully scoring drive to win the game and get back into the top twenty five and hopefully on our way to another bowl game

Tate look confused, frustrated, and lost out there the previous few drives. How are you going to deny the football into the hands of the guy who had just drove the field in under 3 minutes?

runcmc09

i can deny the ball to denard all day long he is a running back at best if that plenty of qb have looked confused and frustrated at times but also have had the skill to know when to control it and to composed yourself and get things back into order denard has not shown anything spectacular to be out there running a two min drill yea he drove the ball for a three yard score okay cool tate could have done the same thing he is a way better qb then denard and if thats the qb of the future you keep him in there and you keep your faith in tate and help built his confidence up not pull him and bring in denard bad play on rich rod and bouje when you get your commonsence together get back to me until then dont bother posting nonsence

Jesus Christ almighty!!!!!!

I really don't neg people that often. I'm much more likely to pos a post I think is good, or even one I don't agree with, but it looks like the person put some actual thought into it and it's well-said or clever.

But, given the recent increasing amount of really, really awful posts, I thik it'd be great if people that had over a certain amount of points - say 1,000, maybe even 2,000 - had the discretion to neg people for more than one point - say, up to 5.

People that have been here awhile generally know what's up and I think should have more capability to help guide the board in the right direction, *especially* now, since the amount of posts in the past few weeks that are really, really awful are seriously diluting the value of what has in the past been (and hopefully will continue to be) a really outstanding message board.

i see your point, and also try and side with rr

but, focus on the situation man. 90 seconds, zero timeouts...i'd love to see denard continue on his momentum, but he's a qb who runs 80% of the time, in the game to throw the ball. There's a qb on the bench who has lead this offense through that very situation 3 times so far. It's fair to argue both ways, but at least realize the situation where fans will be upset.

worst decision rich rod ever made by letting shoelace try to bring us back to try to win the game he doesnt let him pass the ball so why keep him in the game.now two weeks in a row we lost a big game and make another qb look better than he is.im so pissed i live in columbus and these osu fan already running their mouth.

hate people who fall off of the face of Michigan football who never have anything positive to say (in example "WAY TO BEAT ND MICHIGAN!") and only show up when we lose games.

Negative Nancies suck

Direct quote from Facebook status update:
"Send rich rod back to wvu..what jackass thought he was a football coach?"

I think we all have friends on social networking sites that pull this shit.

Man, I'll just say this.

FUCK anyone who bags on Denard for this loss!!!

Were it not for his brilliant play on the previous drive, we wouldn't have been in a positon where the final drive mattered at all.

Not to mention he's an 18 year old kid that's been on campus about 2 months now and is still learning.

For the production Denard's given us so far this year, as a true freshman that didn't enroll early, Denard is overachieving so far.

Great thread here. I've been questioning RR's decision, but without the negative emotion or ranting. (Because what are boards good for if not to pontificate? ;) )

I thought DRob played very well. Had we had more time or timeouts, I would have been all for him leading the last possession. After his TD drive, he seemed to be the guy most likely to move the team. But, we needed not only to move the team, but do it quickly enough and manage the clock. I think Tate gave us the best chance to do that.

Anyway, I think DRob earned himself some more PT tonight.

Go Blue. Beat Penn State!

he previous play was good but its not like tate couldnt do it im not trying to blow tate but denard shouldnt be in the game with two mins left and down by two he is a back up qb not a starter he is a true freshman as well as tate but tate is a more well rounded qb then denard is maybe in a few years yea ok but denard in thats fine but now is not the time he is not proven nor is he ready for this type of pressure and it was shown with that interception that he throw that was a terrible throw and he basically threw that ball right to the defender i think tate my have had a better chance even with a less then stellar game to drive down the field for a field goal hes proven himself before with the notre dame game and the michigan state game to at least time the game up the interception at the end of that game was a great defensive play so it is what it is but tate should have been in there to run the offense not robinson

With that being said. What balls were Tate throwing that were so much better? I saw him heaving it into double/triple coverage. Forget the last few games how did Tate look TODAY. He did not look good that is why you go with Denard in that last series.

Way to join on the day of the loss and start trashing everything that occurred, every call made, and most importantly, the one mistake made by an 18 y.o. kid facing his first real pressure situation. Do you know if Junior Hemingway ran the correct route? Was/is Tate injured during a previous series?

I don't know which game you were watching, but I saw this same 18 y.o. march the team down the field and score a TD in his previous attempt. For whatever reason, RR put DRob in there to play for a win. I have to trust his judgment, because I don't have any of the information that caused him to make that call.

For your part, I would seriously suggest some therapy, and maybe a girlfriend.

One thing you can say about this years team, at least every week they are in a position to win at the end of every game. and when every game is close, there is no way you win 100% of the time, you just don't. this is a team that is playing beyond its years and ability.

PS at least every game is damn exciting

I hate people that are pissed about being 4-2 after going 3-9 last year. We weren't going to win the National Championship this year, we're still really young. It sucks to lose, yes, but damn calm down. We lost by 2pts to a good Iowa team, we'll be alright.

Hate people who can only win with their team and who don't know how to support their team when they lose.

Anybody that says D Rob cost us that game or questions the decision to put him in on the last drive is mistaken. We had 5 turnovers as TEAM and we still only lost by 2 on the road. I hate fair-weather fans!

AMazinBlue

October 11th, 2009 at 12:51 AM ^

You can't say that about previous teams. These guys scratch and claw until the final whistle blows.

With these guys and these coaches we ALWAYS HAVE A CHANCE!

I agree. When a team turns the ball over five times you can not blame the loss on any one player or play. My basketball coach always says, "don't blame the man who misses the buzzer beater. If you need a comeback to win then you didn't deserve to win in the first place." These are a bunch of 18 year old kids playing their hearts out every play. They look better every game. People should sober up and not let their emotions cloud their judgment. Support your team, or get the hell out of here. We don't need any of you fair weather fans.

It seemed as if everybody on the team had their moments. Missed coverages, fumbles, interceptions. I cannot blame this on one player or coach.
What I found so frustrating was I thought Michigan was playing well enough to win, but we kept spotting Iowa field position all day.
Protect the football. Win the game.

Thankfully I don't have many facebook-friends with blatantly ignorant comments, but this one is pretty bad:

"And thus the mediocrity continues. Rush with no time outs left? Really Michigan? Kill me now so I don't have to watch the rest of this inevitably painful season."

Someone doesn't know much about football, methinks. Team looked badass today, aside from the BS mistakes and turnovers. I'm really impressed with our defense and running game. If we play as well as we did today, minus the turnovers, we can beat ANY team left on our schedule.

what happend to that post that was totally ripping RR earlier. BUt I had to go away and calm down before I replied to it. I have ... now whoever you are(or whereever that diary weny) fuck you.

Now, I get into the game as much as the next passionate fan, but I never thought this game was RR fault. He pulled Tate because he was not playing well. It happens. Maybe earlier??? Who knows. Could Tate have pulled the last drive off??? Not based on the previous drives - he was trying to do too much (my opinion).

This season, starting 4-0, gave us all great hope. But w/ a YOUNG team you take steps forward and backward. Even with the loss... I think they took steps forward. Hell, even Herbstriet was very complimentary about us at the end and throughout... Go Blue!

Posts like these separate the true fans from the no faithful. I'd believe in Michigan whoever they play even if it's Florida, Texas,Alabama, USC or Ohio State I believe this Michigan team has the heart and determination to beat anybody! GO BLUE

This is a good team but it has NO DEPTH. Great teams have depth. Rich Rod is still laying the foundation for a national championship caliber team. I'm very happy with where we are at right now. This is a team that fights to the death and that can only be attributed to Rich Rod and staff.
