Penn State beats Northwestern 59-32 and Basketball Open Thread

Penn State just wrapped up an incredible, high-paced game of the century (/s) in Evanston, beating Northwestern 59-32 (yikes!)  Also, Iowa plays Michigan State tonight.

The amount of d-riding going on in this game is inexcusable. I mean this is worse than listening to Vitale broadcast a Duke game.

What is it about Fran McCaffery that makes him such a technical foul magnet?  He doesn't seem to behave any worse than other B1G coaches, but he gets T'd up practically every game while it almost never happens for anyone else.

How does a team that is 0-5 vs the top 20, deserve any special consideration from the committee for seeding. If they had true quality wins before their injuries, I might see it. Their big win early in the year was vs. #1 Kentucky. That isn't quite what they thought it was. Texas and Ok were good wins, but not great. Make them a 5-6 seed and move on

for a check up on Sparty/Iowa and the first thing I hear is Dicky V say: "...a healthy Izzo team can beat anybody".

Just keep banging that broken drum Dicky.

I'll say Trice could have gotten his arms outta McCabe's grill. Can't do that shit nonetheless. Interesting final call though. Byrd's dumbass got ejected.

So MSU beating Iowa means they are back to cutting down the nets and they should be seeded higher but Indiana and Minnesota both put up 90+ on Iowa? I hope we get a third time to thrash them in the BTT.

Trice definitely kept his arm up in McCabe's face to be annoying, you can just tell.  That doesn't excuse McCabe's actions, although I do think that Trice exaggerated his fall.

The amount of ballsucking by Vitale throughout this game was just ridiculous.
