Payback Accomplished: Mustache Edition

Submitted by UMAmaizinBlue on

Well, it was ugly, but revenge has been served again this year. This time, it was "rival" Purdue and infamous handshaker Danny Hope who suffered the wrath of Michigan's.....defense!?

Anyway, that's 2 paybacks this year, and there's still room for 2 more. Enjoy the win folks, because Michigan has it's first winning season under RichRod! Go Blue!

I watched the handshake a few times just to see what happened.  His son was with him crossing the field but was a few steps behind when he got to Hope.  As much as I would have liked to see RR flip Hope off I don't think he would - he's the bigger man.

Rich Rod also beat him while running a completely vanilla offense and looking ahead to Wisconsin.  And even though we don't want to confer rival status on Purdue, we have had some big and close games against them over the years.  My sophomore year, I was hanging from the goal posts after we clinched the B10 title in a close game when an A2 policeman hammered me to the ground with a night stick to the ribs.  Good times.

He should have pulled out a wizard hat and snake oil, handed them to Hope, and said, "Get to work."

Or walked over with Roundtree and introduced him to Hope, saying, "Clearly you didn't communicate effectively with this guy a few years ago. Here's another chance."

In other news, lolzook. Chickens coming home to roost, cream rising to top, premature gloating ENGAGE.

One of the more telling item about Michigan's emphasis on class is when a players scores. They immediately find the ref to give the ball to them.

That is coached and expectations seem to be pretty high on that. This is a pretty good indicator they take it seriously and hold guys accountable.

The fact of the matter is, we will have to win games like this every year. This is the Big Ten there will be cold, nasty day, but this team did not fold they stayed strong, and the d won the game. I for one can not be more pleased with RR after this game, his team has won in close games (3ot vs ILL, ND,UMASS) but he has also led this team in nasty weather and won games when his O is not working.

For those that still want RR fired look at the games around the Big Ten today, Iowa lost to NW and ILL lost to MINN, RR is going to loose games in the Big Ten. However we are 7-3 that is on pace with alot of Loyd Carr years, this team is going to be great.

For the record, I'm drunk so there is my rant. Also there was a user with the name Beeline who kept saying fire RR in the live post, my message to you Mr. Beeline shut the fuck up or go find a new team to root for, I for one am a Michigan fan till the day I die, and no matter who the coach is I will root for them to succeed.

GO BLUE!!!!

The D really stepped it up today, hopefully that momentum carries through the next two games.

I saw that hair pulling play, Denard was already down when it happened.

only hurts if you pull a few hairs at a time but a clump as big as a folded up towel I am sure there was no pain, I think it is part of the body so perfectly legal. I think I say Troy Palamalu (sure this is spelled incorrectly) brought down by his clump of excess.
