If Fisher declares for someone else tomorrow morning, I wonder if Flavin gets a last second call. He is rated the #29 OT by Rivals (20 spots ahead of Fisher), and has some pretty good offers: Boston College, Cal, Oregon, UCLA, Washington..

We're thin but one thing I really like about what Hoke's done is that he hasn't just gone out and got random bodies to fill up the class. I'd rather go in to the season with 9 o-linemen in play then start handing out schollies unnecessarily.
Besides, there aren't really any options for replacements on o-line. Like I said, people have thrown Flavin's name around but I don't know if that's just wishful thinking or if any contact's even been made.
I think we need quality over
I think we need quality over quantity at this point. If a player the staff thinks highly of can fill an open schollie, then bring them on, but don't just fill the class to have it full. What good is a schollie spent on a player who most likely won't contribute for 4-5 years if it can be used on a player next year that POTENTIALLY can contribute in year 1 or 2. IMO, that is what it really comes down to, potential.

Pretty surprised he wasn't invited to the last visit weekend. I'm sure even if Fisher was giving off better vibes that having 2 tackles wouldn't be a bad thing. I did notice that ESPN and scout don't think quite as highly of him as Rivals does (114th and 96 at his position respectively).

It's well established that next year's class is stacked in the Midwest and I'm assuming any spare schollies we have are banked for next year. We'll need to get o linemen again next year anyway.
