Park N Party

Submitted by pullin4blue on

I don't know if anyone has seen this yet., but Park n Party has come to Ann Arbor (as well as East Lansing). For a slight upcharge, they will reserve a space for you at one of several lots around the stadium. These include Cubs AC for $17 per space, Berkley Ave for $50 a space, Ann Arbor Golf and Outing for $40-50 per space and Fingerle lumber for $35 per space. They will also do RV space reservations.

You can check them out at:   www.parknparty.com

See you all at the game

Does anyone else think this is dumb?  If you don't get there on time you don't get your spot!

What time does everyone think they will let cars line up for the University golf course?

We usually go in the State Street entrance at the university golf course.  On the website, they do not list that course as a place to reserve spots.  I don't think the city will let cars line up at 6 am if they are not opening till Noon.

State Street entrance opens at 7:00... Main Street at 8:00

If you want a badass spot... get to the State Street entrance early, and you can get on the fairway... if you can get a couple cars in a row, you will have the ultimate amount of space.  This is especially awesome for 3:30 games.  The only problem w/ the UMGC is that they close shortly (1-2 hours) after the game ends and boot everyone out.

I used to park with a group at AAGOC but after they booted all the groups out back in 08 I've been on my own which kinda sucks. I'd like to get with a group of regulars again someplace. It's nice to see the same people every week and have some fun. We need to get a group of regular tailgaters together. Anyone interested?

I think the idea sounds good, but in reality, the people who are going to tailgate are just going to get there early, set up and not have to worry about where they are going to park. This will appeal to someone who has less time and more money and just wants to show up to what they believe will be a primo spot, grab a beer and head to the game. Takes away from all the pre-game ritual for me. I would never use it. People must use it though, because they have a lot of areas they serve.

First time poster, great board, love reading everyones insight!! I was wondering, if you park in the golf course lot, can you leave over night and pick up Sunday Morning?  I am actually from Columbus, but a die hard UM fan, and im heading up for the Nebraska game.  So i was trying to figure out a good spot to park and leave it, so we dont drink and drive.  Our hotel is only 3 miles away, however we wanted our truck to tailgate, thank you very much for the help! Not for everyone - my Dad has been parking at Casey's since the 80's and takes a cab to the front of the stadium. For years we would get a burger, fries, beer and head over just in time for kick-off.  Last time I did this with him was the MSU game where we came back from a huge deficit in the 2nd half, 2004 I think. Good times.

Nothing like another middleman to gobble up even more money and drain even more enjoyment out of the games.  I hope they take a huge bath on this.  They are spending money on advertising, too; it would be great if they lost it all.

All this will "accomplish" is to make it touigher for the people working the lots to keep everything straight.  I can't wait until someone with a PnP rezzie shows up to a full lot.

Something I've often suggested for people who are going to the tailgates but not running one themselves is to park in the eastern or northen parts of the city and use public or private transit the rest of the way. One time, I parked at Arborland and took the AATA for the balance of the trip. For all Arborland knows, my wife just  can't get enough of DSW Shoe Warehouse.....
