100% chance of pain
September 16th, 2016 at 12:05 PM ^
The weather guy who called into M Zone yesterday said it'll probably be like last week, with light rain a couple times during the game.
September 16th, 2016 at 12:05 PM ^
Looks like rain potentially in the morning, and it doesn't get over 50% after 10am the rest of the day.

About 50% chance of thunderstorms and low 70s all afternoon. Fingers crossed.
September 16th, 2016 at 1:03 PM ^
maybe, maybe not. I don't believe weather will be a significant factor.
September 16th, 2016 at 1:19 PM ^
At least it doesn't look to be one of those organized extreme lines of storms like the one that shortened one of Hoke's first games by a quarter or so.

I wish today's weather could be tomorrow's. It's gorgeous in southeast Michigan.

I never realized there was any weather underground.
September 16th, 2016 at 1:15 PM ^
You, sir, have never been down a manhole in the city of Ann Arbor or Detroit or in a few other places. There is absolutely weather underground, but the problem is that you can't see it without worklights, it's always bad, and it smells like someone died in it. There is little else to do aside from admire the gentle rain from the condensation anyway.

Its gonna be raining michigan touchdowns!
September 16th, 2016 at 1:39 PM ^
I just looked at both the NAM and GFS models. The NAM says rain will be well gone by kickoff but the GFS has a second surge of lighter moisture during game. It's unusual for such disagreement so close to the event but bottom line is heaviest rain will be tonight and conditions should be improving throughout the day tomorrow with a higher than normal uncertainty to the gametime forecast.

Mine too. But I've been tracking this all week and this afternoon the forecasts have changed significantly in our favor. Went from 90% chance of rain and almost 0.5 inches during the day on Saturday to 55% chance of rain and 0.1 inches of rain during the day on Saturday. It looks like the rain forecast has been moved up to Friday overnight/early early Saturday morning. I think there is still a decent chance of a few showers during tailgate tmie and the game, but nothing like the sustained rain the originally forecasted. Thunderstorms are almost better from a rain perspective because they tend to be fairly isolate and move by quickly. But obviously t-storms are not good for game time. Really interested in MGoweather's take on this forecast. I'll be as prepared for rain as I can be!

I couldn't care less if it rains -- just no lightning! Those 60 minute+ delays really suck.
September 16th, 2016 at 4:05 PM ^
What's the over/under on the game. If it rains, the under always looks good.
September 16th, 2016 at 4:08 PM ^
I used to do real well betting Cubs games at Wrigley over/under just by checking the wind direction and velocity 30 minutes before gametime.
September 17th, 2016 at 12:04 AM ^
Meh, unless it's a shit storm I don't think it'll impact the total points. Infrequent light rain won't dampen the points.
September 16th, 2016 at 4:16 PM ^
I also need to make sure my flight into DTW isn't screwed up. I'm due in at 7:32 in the morning.
September 17th, 2016 at 12:02 AM ^
Early flight. It's best you quit drinking and go to bed.

She'll post. Just be patient.
September 16th, 2016 at 6:04 PM ^
The numerical weather models are a bit slower, so it could be wet in the morning but I think the heavier rain will be east and south of Ann Arbor by game time. So, there may be occasional light rain during the game but the lightning should stay south and east!
