We looklike we'll be pretty good next year. We were playing with our 3rd & 4th string DBs. Wait until next year when we have Countess back.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
Good call
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
Countess. What about the other 3 guys we need in the secondary????
January 1st, 2013 at 4:43 PM ^
Well I guess that's that.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
Perhaps time for a beverage.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
That was a face mask!!!!
January 1st, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
Now we got 8 months to be irritable.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
To Denard right there. Not even on the field for the last play. Fuck Borges.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
You need WRs on the last play. Denard can't run through the entire D.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:52 PM ^
Is so much better.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:49 PM ^
You are not smart.
January 1st, 2013 at 6:13 PM ^
It's about winning the game not creating a sentimental moment. Sorry
January 1st, 2013 at 4:44 PM ^
How the FUCK can Clowney be the player of the game?!?! He got the best of Lewan on ONE play and was handled the rest of the game! To be the best defensive player in the country, he made two plays.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
I guess 2 td receptions and a punt return for a TD doesn't mean shit. Media bjs all around there
January 1st, 2013 at 4:53 PM ^
Maybe clowneys dick taste good cause there's a whole bunch of fuckers sucking it! Lewan kicked his ass all game!! He should get player of the game before this ass clown!! Overall better team lost on a bad call on the blitz but I'm proud of team 133 thanks to all of you!
January 1st, 2013 at 4:50 PM ^
To be fair, Gholston has been touted as an AA after tackling three guys a game. Standards are different with guys surrounded by hype.
That said, Clowney is very good. He just wasn't dominant today.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
Well, Michigan kept it close.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
Thats the difference...
We don't have enough playmakers. Impact guys.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
JT Floyd you killed us today. Blake get well soon!
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
Yes. Damn it JT; this is on you
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
Cause he let his team down huge today.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
Tough loss. Commendable effort. Live to fight another day.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
with the dumbass call of the year, why blitz when you can force them to make a 45 yard FG?
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
Because a sack would effectively end the game or create a Hail Mary scenario. That and not blitzing doesn't guarantee they don't get enough yards for the game winning FG. The blitz sack was close on the previous two plays. It was just a hell of a throw in the nick of time.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:49 PM ^
Would rather go down being aggressive than playing a soft ass zone and getting picked apart. Plus they had the backup QB in there and the secondary blew the coverage.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:49 PM ^
It wasn't an all out blitz. Only one came and almost had him.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:50 PM ^
Everyone was pissed that we played the prevent in the exact same situation and let them get a field goal
January 1st, 2013 at 4:58 PM ^
Yeah but their kicker was clutch. This one would have been a head case if the game came down to his foot. He shanked one, had one blocked, and if (IF) we held, he would have had to kick from a considerable distance.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
Great effort guys. That was a damn good team and they should have won. I hate to say it, but the secondary blew this game time and time again. Seeing Kovacs stand there and let Ellington run right by him for the clinching TD really hurt. Really tough game for Kovacs.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:45 PM ^
Shane Morris may not be redshirting. DG looked rough today. Daydreaming at times out there. Oh well. C+ season.
January 1st, 2013 at 5:04 PM ^
I'll give you 100 to 1 odds that this does not happen. There is no way that Morris beats out DG next year for the QB job.
January 1st, 2013 at 5:08 PM ^
Gardner was a little off today, but over all the games he's started this seems to be the exception, not the rule. Shane will be redshirted.
January 1st, 2013 at 6:04 PM ^
I think Shane's redshirt depends on the progression of Russell Bellomy
January 1st, 2013 at 5:21 PM ^
If we dont hire an actual QB coach who only does one thing, and DG's accuracy is still 50/50, shane could win the job. All comes down to footwork and who can make the hard throws. Devin did not do that today.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
couldn't get the qb down
couldn't cover the deep ball on the blitz
story of the game
January 1st, 2013 at 4:47 PM ^
Thanks Denard, Craig, Vince, Jordan and all the seniors. It's been an adventure.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:48 PM ^
Taylor Lewan should man up and come back!
January 1st, 2013 at 4:50 PM ^
Please don't comment on a player's manliness...thanks.
January 1st, 2013 at 5:04 PM ^
Himself a top ten pick. He pretty owned clowney. Specially on the pass plays which most nfl scouts will be looking at on tape.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:48 PM ^
As upset as I am right now, some perspective - 5 losses to 4* top 10 teams. Breaks, aside from a few, just did not go M's way. I would say the future looks pretty bright though.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:51 PM ^
The overall improvement in talent and fundamentals is exciting with this coaching staff.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:49 PM ^
Tough loss. Hasn't sunk in yet. They all played hard. Can't believe how many big plays we gave up has to have matched our season total.
Just wow unbelieveable.
I wish everybody on the team and all of us fans the best.
Thank you to the seniors and the whole team you played hard.
For those on the team remember this feeling and make it so that you never feel it again next season.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:50 PM ^
Hard fought game, I'm proud of our boys, thank you for your efforts and being Michigan Men, good luck to the guys moving on in all endeavors
too bad we didn't have a little more time at the end.
Go Blue!!! No matter what
January 1st, 2013 at 4:51 PM ^
Blame Al Borges! oh wait. . .
January 1st, 2013 at 4:53 PM ^
As upset as I am right now, some perspective - 4 of 5 losses to top 10* teams and all but one was down to the wire. IMO, the future looks pretty bright.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:54 PM ^
Kovacs has been one of the best players for Michigan these last few years. One bad play does not negate all he has done. Show some god damned class.
That blitz...if it had gotten there a half second earlier...or if Black can finish his sack....if if if. They were that close, but sometimes it just is not your day.
I for one am proud of the entire team and coaches. What a great effort against one of the best SEC teams this year. Thank you seniors, you will be missed.
January 1st, 2013 at 5:04 PM ^
With you here. Great game overall. We should have won, but we didn't. Kovacs was one if the guys that helped reshape our defense. And he's played his heart out every game for THE TEAM!!! And he should go down as an all time fan favorite player.
January 1st, 2013 at 5:16 PM ^
He is the epitome of the RR regime. I'll give him credit for being a leader, but he lacked the physical tools.
January 1st, 2013 at 5:12 PM ^
I think it is fair to be critical of Floyd. You are right otherwise though.
January 1st, 2013 at 4:54 PM ^
and the exciting plays. We will be moving into a new era of Michigan football with a pro style QB and offense and a defense that is sound, physical, and aggressive. Please beat Ohio next year.
