Outback Bowl Open Thread

I feel OK at halftime.  Our D has controlled the line of scrimmage and just has given up the two big plays.  If we can avoid turnovers and any more special teams gaffes, we've got a shot.

Fun half, very enjoyable. The talent gap between these teams is large, yet Michigan has a shot. I don't care much if we don't win, but it's nice to see a team coached competently and players that play hard even when they are physically overwhelmed.

If Devin continues to make poor decisions and refuses to scramble, we aren't going to win this game.  Also, our running backs are horrid.

Denard breaks a long run on this first drive.

Not a bad half, gotta trust that mattison will make the necessary adjustments. Our offense just has to finish drives with TD's

Northwestern and Nebraska are up, that's a good sign...Purdue not so much.

I really like how our Defense is playing! Keeping hitting the QB! He is looking more banged up as the game goes on.

I hope Al keeps it up. Maybe the problem at tOSU was a halftime lead?

Mattison will make his adjustments.  We'll win if Al Borges makes his adjustments and we'll lose if he doesn't.

Yeah I'll say it, Borges has called a heck of a first half.  We'll see, but i'd love to see more denard and a few down the field shots with gallon or funchess.

Our D is absolutely dominant outside of apparently 50 yard passes. Our O has done somewhat well against a very good and deeply talented defense. The difference in the game right now is that 63 yard punt return, otherwise it's been fairly even.

Can someone Plz tell Lou holtz that are other teams in div one football besides the ones he has coached at!! My god its bad enough he's still deep throating Notre Lame but to hear him praise spurrier and the cocks oh my!! Glad to hear Mayes talk good bout Taylor though sick of hearing bout clowney!!

Borges has done a heck of a job against SC's athletes on defense.  I trust that we will only give up 7 points max in the second half with Mattison.

(1) Denard to the outside.



(2) Funchess in the flat.



(3) More points than South Carolina when time expires.

I"m mainly concerned about the deep ball potential of USC.  I'm not even mad at our secondary.  I'm more upset about DG.

South Carolina's athletes on defense have to be getting gassed.  We were on offense for almost the entire 1st half.

I know this has been cussed and discussed many times, but I am sick of Lou Holtz. Michigan outplayed SC in the 1st half. All he talks about is the passing genius of Spurrier? What should've been discussed is Mattison and the Michigan D.

I have read all of his books. I just cannot respect him as an analyst.
