Clowney looks bigger than 6'6" 255. He looks every bit of 6'7" 275. And, Lewan doens't look 6'8"...one of their listed stats doesn't add up because Clowney looks bigger than Lewan.
Outback Bowl Open Thread
He was giving out souveniers
For arm strength.
Devin's got a big arm, but he made some bad decisions that half. Really surprised with the month of extra practice that he played like that.
Come on man...give us a shot.
For wide receivers. Hard to throw downfield otherwise.
Where is Denard he can miss wide open WR's but a least he can run.
Wide right by DG. Laces out.
Gardner is Einhorn! Dammit I knew it!
We are still in it. I like our chances. Go Blue!
but am I crazy to feel like we have dominated this freaking game sans 3 fucking plays?
No you are sane. We have played well exception the 3 plays.
Time of Posession is more than 2x Michigan
I was thinking the same thing.
Dominated? No. But definitely played better than the scoreboard says.
dominated is way too strong, controled tempo and play better might be a more apt description
Defense has done well besides the big plays but our offense has not dominated anything. Gardner can sure throw the ball, problem is our recievers are having a hard time getting open and our lack of size at the position shows in these type of games.
Play Denard more damnit, ridiculous we dont use our best player
He has been playing a ton! What more do you want him to do? On 3rd down and long they put Smith in because of his blocking although he has had a tough day.
I like him out of the tail. He's running tough and a few trips and lucky grabs from behind stopped big runs.
I feel OK at halftime. Our D has controlled the line of scrimmage and just has given up the two big plays. If we can avoid turnovers and any more special teams gaffes, we've got a shot.
Could see the fear in Spurrier's eyes at the half
Get him on the edge/space instead of Btwn tackles
UM's OL is where the gap is large, but everywhere else I see comparable talent.
South Carolina has pretty pedestrian skill players on offense, save for Ace Sanders.
Probably the best secondary we've played all season, well except bama.
If Devin continues to make poor decisions and refuses to scramble, we aren't going to win this game. Also, our running backs are horrid.
He makes poor decisions WHEN he scrambles. He runs right into the blitz every time.
Forget about the running backs.... outside of Toussaint we have no one that can run against this great SC d-line.
Denard breaks a long run on this first drive.
Not a bad half, gotta trust that mattison will make the necessary adjustments. Our offense just has to finish drives with TD's
How about trust Borges will make the necessary halftime adjustments. Remember the ohio game?
is like trying to watch a crippled guy walk up an icy hill. No offense to crippled guys.
We have 12 first downs and 182 yards. It hasn't been that bad.
I know and if Devin would calm down and not go for the HR we would have scored at less once more.
Northwestern and Nebraska are up, that's a good sign...Purdue not so much.
I really like how our Defense is playing! Keeping hitting the QB! He is looking more banged up as the game goes on.
Let's hope Al doesn't Al it up.
I hope Al keeps it up. Maybe the problem at tOSU was a halftime lead?
Gardner has been waaay too excited. You wonder if the fratting during Bowl Week and the woofin the S. Carolina players are doing is getting in his head. He's playing like he's focused on proving them wrong than simply being a QB.
Lewan's CACK is slapped across Clowney's forehead...#owned
Our WRs aren't getting enough seperation (sorry of the season) and our interior OL is awful.
With that said, we're going to go as Devin goes.
Our defensive line is DOMINATING the LOS. They're outplaying The Gamecocks OLine and DLine.
LBs are playing well, although I haven't seen Demens...where is he?
Our secondary is awful without Countess and Floyd. "What could've been?"
I think they want boldens speed out there.
Denard needs more touches from the Wildcat...he's the only one getting yards on the ground.
Mattison will make his adjustments. We'll win if Al Borges makes his adjustments and we'll lose if he doesn't.
First downs - Michigan 12-5
Yards - Michigan 182-163 (with the big SC plays)
Possession - Michigan 20:48 - 9:12
Yeah I'll say it, Borges has called a heck of a first half. We'll see, but i'd love to see more denard and a few down the field shots with gallon or funchess.
It's mind boggling how little Denard is utilized
The game continueth.
Our D is absolutely dominant outside of apparently 50 yard passes. Our O has done somewhat well against a very good and deeply talented defense. The difference in the game right now is that 63 yard punt return, otherwise it's been fairly even.
Can someone Plz tell Lou holtz that are other teams in div one football besides the ones he has coached at!! My god its bad enough he's still deep throating Notre Lame but to hear him praise spurrier and the cocks oh my!! Glad to hear Mayes talk good bout Taylor though sick of hearing bout clowney!!
Borges has done a heck of a job against SC's athletes on defense. I trust that we will only give up 7 points max in the second half with Mattison.
