An out-of-towner's thoughts on Michigan
I apologize for the lack of paragraphs. My phone doesn't format very well. Hope you understand.
How do you listen to wtka on the droid... I need that.
I listen on my BlackBerry with something called Yourmuze. It used to be called Moodio but they were bought out. It works great for me.
Go Blue!!!! See you at the game.
I know the feeling. This is the only time of the year that I regret moving away. Cherish every second that you're this weekend, soon enough you'll be back to bar stool arguements between Clemson and 'Cocks fans that for some reason think anyone outside of this state cares about them. Go Blue!
I have great respect for the long-distance fans who make the pilgrimmage. Go Blue. Always.
Excellent post. Well said. Go Blue!
Also, you missed one heck of a game tonight between Dorman and Spartanburg!
I wish more fans felt this way:
This is such a special place for me and no matter what hardships this team goes through, there is nothing better than celebrating the euphoria of being a Michigan fan.
And as a fan stranded down in Texas, I am extremely jealous that you're up in Michigan right now, gearing up for the game. Go Blue!
"as I entered Ohio and screamed obscenities at the entrance sign"
Oh memories, me and a buddy used to roll down the windows when crossing back into Michigan from Ohio and berate the state. Have to force myself to sleep soon, need to go for a run in the morning to offset the tailgating. Nine minutes till gameday.
From Greer, SC, glad you are up there to represent. Enjoy the game tomorrow, and thanks for the thoughts. I'm sure you must be riding sky high for this trip. Go Blue.
12 hours? You must've been flying! It's about 13 hours from NC. I also scream unforgiveable things at the Ohio border.
I'm from Greensboro, NC and I was just wondering if that was Cheerwine you brought from the South or if you found it in Michigan. I've always been under the impression that it could only be purchased in the Carolinas. If it's available here, where did you get it?
Brought it from SC. The first time I ever tailgated at the golf course, a guy walked past, noticed I had Cheerwine and offered to trade a beer for one. I just let him have one and I bring some of it every year now.
As a Carolina boy in Ann Arbor for school I get excited for signs of home like that. When I am home, I get just as excited for signs of Michigan.
Although I just reread it twice and was thinking are you sure it was just one energy drink you had?
