Our UPCOMING opponent: Colorado vs. Colorado St. Open thread

Submitted by Wolverine In Iowa 68 on

Um....for as bad as Colordo was last year, they're dominating CSU right now, 24-0 with 9 minutes left in the first half.  CSU was the better team last year, with a better record, but Colorado is stomping them pretty handily.  When we play them, it may not be the cake walk we're all expecting.

[Edit: messed up the schedule, cuz overloaded on brain stuff]

May not be a cake walk, but CSU is trash. After next week we can get a better judgement on how this Colorado team will be.

Absolutely true, but at the same time WMU is a step above Furman and it's how MSU is losing.  Their defense is getting called for PIs against vastly inferior WRs, they have fumbled and missed a FG, and basically have 2 good drives all game.  They aren't this bad, but this is definitely a team with issues at a number of places.

I know they're breaking in a new quarterback but I have not been impressed by their offense. I would think that they would simply run it down Furman's throat but no, they've been struggling to get any traction. Their defense is keeping them in it. A better team would have them down a couple scores now. We'll see how they are when they play Notre Dame

As a reminder, starting tomorrow, the "Noon Games", "Afternoon Games" and "Evening Games" thread will start getting enforced. Threads about individual games will require some justification, such as something significant happening or whatnot.

This thread can definitely stay - it's relevant to Michigan because we play Colorado. This is merely a heads up.

They way that Stanford plays is beautiful. They seem well polished and confident. I imagine that's how we will come out tomorrow.

Agree with the comments about Colorado. CSU is CSU, which isn't great but still isn't terrible. Doesn't really matter. 31-0 is what a good team will do to a bad team in a full game, much less a half. Colorado could very well be a tough game.

why do so many (current and former) big twelve schools abbreviate their names the wrong way? university of Colorado = CU university of Kansas = KU university of Oklahoma = OU university of Missouri = MU university of Nebraska = NU
