Sorry for the size, just got finished took about 1.5 hours. Hope the stupid neighbor kids don't decide to go pumpkin smashing tonight!
You didn't make a stencil? I have some operations management homework you can do if you have more time on your hands...
Nope no stencil, just drew it on and cut. Damn pumpkin was so thick I started with an exacto knife and had to move up to a steak knife to get through!
Best pumpkin ever!!
That is awesome. Ive done a Block M once but that is no where close to how great this one is!
I wonder how many friend requests you're going to have in the next 3 hours.
the first (M) dreadlocked jack-o-lantern.
That would give me a raging posbang.
That is great work.
I made a Michigan helmet pumpkin last year...you will be the envy of all your neighbours.
That puts my "3.14" from last year to shame.
especially as an engineer...
What she said.
I wish I had the time (and the talent). Since he is getting so much press lately, it would be pretty special if someone could sculpt a Lloyd Brady pumpkin.
BTW - Beautiful piece of work!
Not trying to one up OP, but this is my Denard pumkin...
mmm yeah don't think I could ever do something that looks as good as that.
If I made one like that in my neighborhood it would be smashed in the streets by the morning sadly.
That freaking pumpkin is beautiful!
You are my hero. Mine from last year:
As you can tell, I'm good at nothing (art, using knives, life in general) whereas you're good at everything (carving, understanding proportions/perspective, life in general).
You're at least very good at MGoPosting. And really, what else matters?
That pumpkin kicks some serious ass. And I thought I was representing by putting out a scarecrow holding a Michigan flag.
Complete 100% WIN.
My avatar is my traditional pumpkin (this will be year 3). Triangle eyes just don't cut it for me anymore.
blows all four of my pumpkins that i carved last year out the water... good work... here are the pics of mine from last year...
This thread is full of Halloween win. Good work to all pumpkin carvers. Going to get ours today, I'll have to try to talk my wife into doing a cool Michigan carving as I'm like the poster above who sucks at most of life.
It didn't make it through the night. Of course...I live in Uh-hia.
have quite those skills, but I plan on a winged helmet pumpkin. The hole will be in front where the facemask is. Artificial dreds will hang out the back next to a 16!
