O/U commits today

Submitted by Dilithium Wings on

The BBQ in the Big House is today. I'm sure everyone is still in shock over the George Campbell committed yesterday.  It really took everyone by surprise. So, lets have a little more fun with wild speculations.  I'm trying to be rational here with my number, so I'm gonna set the over/under at 1.5 commits today.

Thoughts and predictions?

I'll say under. Think we get one, and may not be who we all think. No inside info here, just a feeling. I know Crawford really enjoyed his ND visit, so I think he may take more time to decide.

His father came out and said both parents want their son to commit to Michigan. They love the coaches and the emphasis on academics. However, they said, like all parents do, that it is ultimately his decision. However, based on his experience at the BBQ which he found "outstanding," it is a possibility but highly unlikely. Despite praising all that had taken place over his recruitment period and the BBQ, he did end his interview by stating his announcement would come at the AA Army game that takes place in the future. I think we will get the nod from him

Under 1.5. I was going with 1 or 2 for the whole weekend so I'm going to stick with that.  With campbells commitment that leaves a possible 1 commitment left for my original prediction which is still under 1.5.

Where do they hold it in the Big House and does the entire team get together for this or is this just for freshman and recruits? I'm afraid to admit I don't know much about it :/.

I'm liking the college ready (size-wise) we are bringing in. It seems like we were recruiting kids that topped out at what these three are coming in at.  I'm looking forward to the norm of 6'3/6'4"; 235-250lb.  It is a much more targeted and nuanced approach to recruiting.  I believe GMatt has a detailed position description and recruits it to the T.  I'm looking forward to the next decade of UM sports!

Yeah, but the Midwest kids won't think twice about it and the southern boys might appreciate something other than 95 and 100% chance of thunderstorms.  I do wonder what the schedule/agenda is for this...how much time is spent outside versus indoors (presentations, etc.).
