OT:Wave Invites

Submitted by joeyb on
I just got another slew of invites. If anyone is interested in an invite, post your email. Hopefully the mods will be kind enough to remove your email once I respond saying I have invited you.

and we're considering using it for our deployments. Once more modules get added, we're planning to have everyone upload their checklists and deployment schedules so everyone on the wave can see when steps have been completed and dependencies have been met. Finally, instead of a mail trail for reporting issues the wave can be used (live typing in this sphere a big plus in reducing time to resolution). Just thought I'd share this for anyone in the same business.

I've been using it with another developer, since we are working on porting an app from Apple to Android OS. It seems like a nice little blackboard for discussing problems and keeping revisions in one area. You can do it with Google Docs and other services, but it does serve a purpose for the corporate set. I'm actually trying to get people at work to use it because we trade contracts for review all the time and it would cut down on versioning issues. Again, probably not going to be a popular mainstream application like gmail or reader, but I think it has some utility. I also have invites in case anyone wants some.
