Ah hopefully Jahvid Best is ready to step it up a notch. Still sucks about Leshoure though. We really needed that big back compliment.

Here's to a speedy recovery and a breakout season next year!

Ouch, was definintely looking forward to seeing what he could do for the Lions this year. Hopefully he can make it next year and win the spot

Please don't let this be another injury-plagued season of futility.

For real, how do these guys make it through college with no problems and then suddenly go down in flames when they hit their first NFL camp. No way an NFL practice is harder than college football.

The Lions never catch a break.  It's possible he is done for his career :(.  Hope he recovers and comes back to a nice a career in the NFL with the lions.

WTF!  He was going to be a HUGE part of the offense this season with his ability to run hard between the tackles.  So disappointing!  The Pipkins news definitely helps lessen the dong punch.

Just think of it this way.  We don't really know how he would have contributed to the Lions this season because he didn't play a down of football for them.  So, we aren't really missing out on anything.  It is what it is.

WTF???

I figured this would happen as teams try to work too hard too quickly.  I didn't realize it would happen only to the Lions.  I really should have known.

let's see if they pick up Julius Jones or Laurence Maroney in free agency. hell ricky williams. why do i know, though, it will be kevin smith returning?

There will be players available after camps close, and I wouldn't be surprised if a guy like Smith is brought back for a look.  Two years after major surgery, he might actually have his legs back a bit.

I was really hoping you were trolling and gonna go "Just Kidding! Wouldn't that have sucked if both Fairley and Leshoure got hurt though with Young being a bit banged up too?"

But alas....

I don't know whether to attribute this in any way to the lockout for not having them on a normal training schedule or something or just awful Lions luck. I'm not confident with Maurice Morris as the back up for best. Leshoure could have brought a pounding style this year that would wear defenses down for Best's quickness. Just please no more injuries.
