OT/Meta -- Help? -- Suppressing ad-bloc while on Mgoblog
I am running Mozilla 3.6.6 on Mac OS X 10.5.8. Awhile back, while suffering through the new ads at YouTube, I saw a comment about a Firefox ad-bloc add-on, which I promptly downloaded. As it turns out, it also blocks the ads here at Mgoblog, which seems unpatriotic.
I'm wondering if anyone familiar with the Firefox ad-bloc add-on can help me figure out how to suppress ad-bloc for specific sites.
You should just be able to click on arrow next to the icon (mine is in the top right corner) and say "disable on this page".
was easy. I had never noticed the icon before; I had never hoped for anything so easy. Thanks.
Edit: I see the ads now.
Man, I've been missing out. How do I uninstall this ad-block thing??
Speaking of ads, my Mom tried to buy me a football jersey online in the early days of internet shopping. She liked Dick's Sporting Goods...After typing www -dot- dicks -dot- com at work, she was bombarded with so many popup ads that she had to manually reboot the computer.
.... from IT or HR. Or both.
I always thought that THAT particularly company is either clueless or shrewd, naming-wise.
