OT"ish": UA All American Game Practice News

FYI...if you are looking to hear how players are doing, Rivals has a totally free recap of yesterdays and todays practice (still going on). Gary is getting all the praise you can imagine. Kid simply is the best and wants to be the best. Unstoppable on drills. Bredenson has gotton some love too. USC's QB has been getting lit up for HORRIFIC play yesterday and a tweet just went out that he isn't any better today. Kinda feel bad for the kid. https://n.rivals.com/news/live-ua-practice-no-2

247 has something similar with a live reaction thread from some writers. Gary has been a monster as thought.

Bredson had a good day yesterday but has been beaten a few times today.

Walker has had some issues with fumbles. The 247 staff hasn't been overly impressed with him although he's had his moments.

Although not a commit, they said Jean Delance was the best OL in one on one drills this morning.

I do not have a link, but I read yesterday that RBs are hard to analyze in practice for all-star games like this.  For RBs and LBs, you really have to watch how they perform in the actual game.

These games just aren't great for a rb period.  No way an offensive line that is practicing for 4 days is going to block well meaning pretty much no holes.  Hope he plays well but one big run would be a success for me.

I remember watching that game and thinking the same thing but didn't want to believe what I saw. Three things seem to be natural for Walker though. Top end speed, vision to see the whole and then hit it. That sets him apart from everyone except Drake IMHO. I just don't think he has been 100% healthy since last year before he blew out his knee for the second time. Hopefully this offseason does him some good. Him and Walker in the pro-set or wishbone I think its called with Jabrill as the slot. Might not be a bad set to run some plays out of.

There is nothing about him (or most recruitniks) that indicates they deserve their job. Many never played HS FB (let alone CFB), were pro scouts, etc. It's just dudes that didn't get heckled for stalking kids......somehow. Most posters: DON'T TALK TO RECRUITS! TomVH: Hold me, Tom! Tell me about that kid that likes Michigan, Tom! It's crazy but so is life

Kareem Walker. The nation's number-two rated runningback had an up-and-down day Tuesday, and never seemed real comfortable. I've seen him live before, and seen him perform much better. There's no questioning his talents or skill set, so no worries with this player at all.

And talked w Lavar Arrington for a few minutes and he is very impressed w the speed of the White teams D. Said he really liked Gary's chance to dominate college if he stayed healthy.

Also talked w Plaxico Burres tonight at the players lounge and he said the RB's were playing really fast to him for there age. He like Haskins at QB and thinks Kareem could be a Reggie Bush type back.

I will be spending all day at the practice tomorrow. The team is at the Nets vs Magic basketball game right now.

Can our recruits / targets stick to Herm Edward's side of the field? I'd rather they not be coached by a former Lion HC.
