OTish: Catching up with Bacari & Kam
Today I had the chance to take my high school team to UDM's summer league camp. Bacari was there front and center and Kam Chatman was helping run the clock for some of the games. Bacari gave a great introduction speech to all the athletes and coaches. He was very direct with the players (even told a young man to remove his hat), and referenced Beilein several times. He introduced Kam's father along with the other coaches on staff.
During our down time I got the chance to speak with Bacari and he was great. Really seems vested in this whole process and wants to see all of these high schools succeed. I thanked him for his great pre game speeches in the '13 run. I also thanked Kam for legitimately making my day/month back in March. He laughed it off and said "You're welcome." Kam spent a lot of the break time shooting around, and he looked pretty good from outside. The only part that made me cringe a little the whole day is when Bacari introduced Jermaine Jackson as recruiting coordinator. Anyone who has coached in southeast Metro Detroit the past several years knows about the shadiness that has followed Jackson. Let's hope he has left that all behind and will be a great member of Bacari's staff.
An all around great afternoon, and it was cool to see some former MBB members now in their new home.
cool story bro!
my favorite part was when you mentioned Kam shooting around... touching really.
just to make fun of the author. This is a nice thing to post on the blog( I enjoyed the read) and he put OT in the subject, so you shouldn't feel obligated to read it
Feel free to share your positive uplifting message... I thought the post fell flat.
love you
Sounds like you have some hater in you

Why the dumb post? Just ignore it if you don't like it.

Thanks for sharing! We will definitely be going to some UD games this season.
All the best.
