The other problem with Hoke

Submitted by Blazefire on

Just how in the heck are we, as Michigan fans, supposed to type Brady in a post on this forum and think of that as a FIRST name? Clearly, either Hoke or Tom Brady are going to have to change their names.

Or we can agree to use last names.  Denard is a first name athlete.  Barry is a first name athlete.  Bo was a first name coach.  Brady Hoke isn't any more of a first name coach than Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, or Ron Zook.

I thought it was interesting at the press conference that DB and the press all called him Brady, I never saw an RR press conference, but did they refer to him as Rich? Or Coach Rodriguez?

I heard David Brandt on the radio today give as evidence for the reasons he did not support Rodriguez: "He didn't even have captains. Michigan has always had captains."

SMH.

These "Michigan Men" certainly know how to act like petty little girls.

I could see Tom Brady going into the coaching ranks after his NFL playing days. Who knows in 2022 he could be leading Cal to a 12-1 season and a blowout win in the Rose Bowl. Hoke has just retired and we are trying to land Brady! But the 49ers job has opened again, but will our  hopes for Brady to be our next coach be dashed again by the 49ers?

By that point Lloyd Brady will have earned 4 degrees from U of M including an MFA just so he could keep his student tickets, and will have found a place to live under the stadium like Rudy. At that point, he will be our AD by default and will never have to be photoshopped next to a player again.

I named my son (born last March) Brady.  I say its because of Tom, but my wife claims she picked the name.  Anyway, he is now destined to be a great player at Michigan.  That is one part of this hire I'm ecstatic about.

I think the best method is to simply eliminate their first/last names from the lexicon and simply use nicknames based on hair.

Thus Tidy and Bieber.

Or in a few years perhaps it will have to switch to Graying and Jagr

At any rate it will solve any Brady confusion.
