Hmmmm, maybe he'll take the stage at Shakespeare's.
November 13th, 2013 at 10:03 PM ^
Yes! I live in Kzoo and would totally go see that.
November 13th, 2013 at 10:05 PM ^
Haha. I work in Kalamazoo and live in Portage. I'd pass on a live performance of Datbull.
November 13th, 2013 at 10:17 PM ^
Only if DJ ILL MIXX is on the turntables.
November 14th, 2013 at 11:26 AM ^
Is his last name Williams? I think I saw him playing TE for Minnesota.
November 13th, 2013 at 10:05 PM ^
He'll have to change his name to "DatBronco"
November 14th, 2013 at 5:30 AM ^
for that one
November 13th, 2013 at 10:17 PM ^
Seated or bent over?
November 13th, 2013 at 10:13 PM ^
Smoke weed in a shed, still get a scholly.
November 13th, 2013 at 10:50 PM ^
I don't want to make even a silly joke about the young man. Good luck to him.

The gentleman in your forum pic approves of your temperance.

There was an article back in August about him actually giving football another shot, but at a community college in New York City. Not sure why exactly he would go full circle, but oh well, right?
Harris' words from the article:
"I can go back to college if I want to but it's not like...I'm not gonna go and shame the name of MSU football by being a Division I athlete and then rapping about what I rap about. You can't do that. If I went up there they would not allow me to rap the way I rap, they would not allow me to do the things I do. It's just natural, people forget that it doesn't work that way. It's not like I can just go up there and play football and rap. It doesn't work like that."

Don't buy that story. MSU pulled his offer because of the video-taped drug use and he tried to pretend it was his call.

Who was the safety that chose USC over Michigan a couple years ago to further his music career?
November 13th, 2013 at 10:27 PM ^
Leon McQuay III
November 14th, 2013 at 9:54 AM ^
How is that safety's "music career" going? USC has people like Snoop promise to get recruits "into the business" if they sign with USC. Someone needs to ask recruits how many rappers and hip hop artists played football at USC and actually got what Snoop promised them.
I am guessing the answer is "zero."

he should come over to k college and visit with me #4life
November 13th, 2013 at 10:29 PM ^
Will his nameplate read "D. Bull"?
November 13th, 2013 at 10:42 PM ^
Sources say his commitment was contingent upon Datbull getting housing inside a community with a yellow pipe gate and a shed to cram a bunch of old couches in. Fo life fo fo life
November 13th, 2013 at 10:49 PM ^
Don't forget the pergola.
November 13th, 2013 at 10:59 PM ^
And token white guy in his posse
November 13th, 2013 at 10:56 PM ^
Just in....he is already constructing a new shed at WMU.
November 13th, 2013 at 11:06 PM ^
I don't think he'd fit in..
November 13th, 2013 at 11:55 PM ^
I tried to embed the video, but apparently I suck at the internet.
I figured someone would step up.
November 14th, 2013 at 11:25 AM ^
That token white guy looks like he wasn't even invited to be in the music video. He just followed them around all day, trying to convince them that the camera definitely couldn't see him.
November 13th, 2013 at 11:34 PM ^
I am happy for him. Kzoo is a great town. Good luck Mr. Bull.
November 13th, 2013 at 11:42 PM ^
Good, amidst everyone making fun of MSU, I felt sick to my stomach for that kid passing up playing football and a free education to "rap." Glad to see he's going back to football.
November 14th, 2013 at 12:29 AM ^
Why?? An 8 year old should know that was a stupid fricking decision, let alone a 17 year old. And even though he went back to football he still potentially f'd up his future by winding up at western instead of State where he would have learned to be a good player and gotten more exposure. Although if he's dumb enough to do what he did he probably wouldn't have gotten very far anyway. No sympathy.
November 14th, 2013 at 11:28 AM ^
Yeah, he really missed out on State's legendary ability to develop WR talent. He could have maximized his abilities just like Burbridge and Arnett currently are.
November 14th, 2013 at 11:40 AM ^
Sarcasm noted. Any other year, OK. Right now? I'll pass on taking shots at the player development of another program.
November 14th, 2013 at 12:38 AM ^
He can pursue music as a hobby in the offseason, but as a former college teacher I like to see kids in school where they belong.

Row the Boat DatBull
November 14th, 2013 at 12:15 AM ^
now I can never go back.
November 14th, 2013 at 12:27 AM ^
Smoke the bowl Jay!...I mean, Row the boat!
November 14th, 2013 at 8:51 AM ^
Another fine citizen to add to the community of Kalamazoo.
November 14th, 2013 at 9:05 AM ^
I'm guessing record companies weren't knocking down his door.
I would love to see a Where are They Now? 10 years from now featuring the whole crew in the video.
November 14th, 2013 at 9:08 AM ^
What are they thinking at WMU? I'm sure this will work out well for them.
November 14th, 2013 at 9:39 AM ^
THIS. IS AWESOME.
November 14th, 2013 at 9:41 AM ^
He should've signed with Buffalo.
November 14th, 2013 at 11:33 AM ^
I agree with you that posters should generally be extremely wary of making fun of 17 year olds.
However, there is a big difference between commenting on someone's appearance or their decision of where to attend college, and commenting on their open misogyny, drug use, and general douchiness. It's tough to watch a video featuring the subject himself endorsing rape and comical thuggishness while constantly smoking blunts and still say "I have no comment on that young man's character."
