OT - Yogi Ferrell Arrested for Minor Consumption of Alcholic Beverage and Fake ID

Submitted by alum96 on

Per bylaw 18.201774A-d, the NCAA will ban Yogi for 2 years...and retroactively for 1, for the fake ID.

Two Indiana University Men’s Basketball players were arrested early Friday morning by Indiana State Excise Police. IU guards Kevin Farrell, 20, and Stanford Robinson, 18, were each preliminary charged with minor consumption of an alcoholic beverage and possession of a false identification.

Police said the two allegedly attempted to enter Kilroy’s Sports Bar using fake ID cards around 1 a.m. Farrell and Robinson were issued summonses and released. They are scheduled to appear in Monroe County Court on April 27.

I dont think the booze is the issue with the NCAA - remember the less harmful the offense the lengthier the ban!  So those fake IDs ----> 3 years!  DUI? Ok 1 game ban.

p.s. your avatar is disturbing for reasons I can't quite put my hands around... oh wait...

It doesn't really count if it's some phony organization like the "police" that catch him. You only get the really severe punishments if the NCAA catches you, since they know what is best for these young men.

Oh wait...the NCAA won't get involved here, but the school will.  So a 2 game suspension and the hardest of slaps upon their wrists.

Death to the NCAA.

Make him listen to Friday by Rebecca Black on repeat for 4 years straight or until his ears bleed (whichever may come first). I think this is much more tough than any ban.

It may be different in other places, but in Ohio, underage posession is much worse than possession of marijuana. So the NCAA should give Ferrell the chair right?

What I would do is enact a secret probation... Slips up again and it's the Hanoi Hilton..... or maybe a little bit of Pinochet's Chilean Disappearing Trick.

"They knew the rules. They broke the rules. They have no one to blame but themselves for whatever punishment they receive, whether it be death or ugu," Drew Sharp (or some other asshole).

side note...google Gilbert Gottfried and ugu.
