Alex Zordich went 4-22 with 2 INTs tonight for Buffalo. It got me wondering, what are some of the worst college QB performances in the history of the game or that you can remember?
rundown of Michigan's riser
Usee the "Site Search" resource just above the Diaries section and do a search for places to watch games in your town. Pretty easy and people have spent a lot of time doing the research so others can profit.
Disgruntled former moderator. I got a lot of problems with you people!

Well to be fair to Jimmy he was just trying to one-up Brady Quinn
If you're doing nothing, how do you know when you're finished?
lesigh.
Watching a legit D-line wearing Maize and Blue terrorizing an opposing QB.
lesigh.
PS Brandon Graham was an absolute monster. Getting held on half of those plays and still getting to Clausen.
That d-line is the same one that got smoked by App State and Oregon. And Wisconsin later in the year.
ND was the absolute worst offense in the country statistically that year and went 3-9. Let's actually remember shit if we are going to be nostalgic.
It is spelled HOKEAMANIA. Our coach is an ass-kicking American citizen, not one of the Beatles, for Christ's sake!
Clausen getting simultaneously sacked by all 4 defenders is still one of the funniest football plays I've ever seen. Just a perfect picture of ineptitude of an ovverrated opponent lining up against a legit football team. It's so good it should be a gif.
How many times have you been on the freeway and had someone fly by you at 100 mph then end up 2 cars ahead of you at the off ramp? What's the point? -Mark Harmon
To add to ChopBlock's post above:
- Clausen was 11-17 for 74 yards passing and 0 TDs with 1 INT.
- Evan Sharpley was 2-5 for 11 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT.
- Clausen had 9 carries (if they could be called that) for -65 rushing yards.

I remember Michigan got 6 picks against Bill Burke and Todd Schultz of MSU.
It included this little number:
This is home...
Is that Brady Hoke at the 1:15 mark in the video?
We're not teaching them about sports, we're teaching them about life!
It wasn't a college game, but the worst QB performance I ever saw was Ty Detmer throwing 7 interceptions for the Lions.
for me too. He also threw another int, but there was a penalty and it didn't register as an int.
...confidence is the stain they can't wipe off...
Performance in the Sugar Bowl while at Ohio State.
Also not College but I remember my main man Derek Anderson going 2 for 17 with a bunch of turnovers in a 6-3 OT win for my Browns over the Bengals...pretty riveting stuff
I apologize about the dress code, sir, but my next party is a hayride
Cue the Joe Bauserman throw chart.
The swag is back.
Bauserman was 1 of 10 for 13 yards and 1 INT, and he managed 1 rushing attempt for -1 yards. Against Miami a few weeks before that, he was 2 of 14 for 13 yards, and had 3 rushing attempts for -3 yards.

but I think back in 2006 or 2007, the QB for Mississippi State threw 6 picks in their opener that year. I also want to say he got sacked a bunch of times and completed like a 1/3 of his passes for hardly any yards. I don't remember much about it, except that it was bad enough for me to remember a stat line from a game from a long time ago, by a team I care nothing about.
Besides that, Ty Detmer's 7 int. game is hands down the worst QB performance I've ever seen.
Threw 7 interceptions in a 1987 loss to MSU.
vs nd. I don't recall much about that game other than it seemed like every single INT was at my end of the field. I think we had 7 to's that game like 5 int's and 2 fumbles lost. Thanks to a lot of whiskey ... I didn't remember much the next day!
Go Blue!
No place on earth I'd rather be on a football Saturday than Michigan Stadium !
If you're too young to remember the 1987 Michigan-Michigan State game, consider yourself fortunate.
If you'd like the ultimate dong punch, google it. But I warned you.
...partial games I've ever seen was the 2007 UCLA-ND game when McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw 4 picks and gave up a fumble in three disastrous quarters. He was a true freshman that practically had the clipboard ripped out of his hands when UCLA's starter was injured.
I spent the whole game cringing and hoping he wouldn't be seriously injured, but there's a bright side: Dude survived and is currently on the Vikings roster.
As a matter of fact I like beer.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson? Is he the prince of some UK territory or something?
No excuses. Play like a champion.
#1 Miami in 1984, Bernie Kosar threw 6 interceptions against us. (Or should I say to us?)
Go Blue! Always!
Common now....did you see the Bengals game last week? Both Weedon & Richardson looked fantastic in that one.
But, because the Cleveland Browns are bound by the arrangement they made in 1998 when they were granted an exansion franchise, they must suck on one side of the ball or the other, so the defense collapsed.
I'll be there Sunday watching them play the Bills. And my expectation is that Special Teams will do something stupid and cost them the game so that they can feel like they contributed to the mounting Browns legacy of defeat.
The first half of the 2001 Ohio game. In that half, John Navarre may have had more turnovers than completions, or at least it felt like it. And then he was pulled for our final drive before halftime for Jermaine Gonzales, who was still looking at the sideline while the shotgun snap sailed past him for a safety. We were a heavy favorite, looking to clinch the Big Ten title, and then found ourselves trailing 23-0 at halftime.
To me, this was the real "Horror" game. That first half was shockingly bad and we couldn't recover. (Big John, to his credit, played a lot better in the second half, but we'd dug too big a hole.) It started the stretch of futility against Tressel, and I felt like our program didn't fully recover for the rest of the Carr era.
To his credit, Navarre led the team back and was an easy dropped TD pass from completing the comeback.
when people talk about our great receivers just for that drop alone. His numbers were great, but all anyone remembers was that one play that probably cost us the game.

Vinny Testaverde threw 5 INTs and no TDs during the 1987 Fiesta Bowl, which was to decide the winner of the 1986 National Championship. Miami out gained Penn State on the field, 445 yards to 162, with 22 first downs compared to the Nittany Lions 8, but still lost the game. That's probably the worst combo of "terrible performance+in a big game" I can think of.
Nick Sheridan 2008 gets my 2nd place vote.
Jim Clausen, M vs. ND 2007.
All in for some manball.
Minus the last few minutes of the fourth quarter
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
Although, probably not all his fault since the Florida defemse terrorized him all game, Troy Smith completed 4 passes in the National Championship game and had -29 rushing yards.
The Sheridan performance against Penn State in 2008 was pretty hard to watch...
11/34 for 68 yards. Hurray zero picks I guess?

but Henne's arm was basically hanging out of its socket.
No excuses. Play like a champion.
But since all of the informative threads have been deleted, I was wondering where I would catch the game in Saturday.
