his dance partner there was no virtuoso, either.  Was this for real?  He looked like an actor hired to play an anchor having a disaster on camera.  But that's been done.

I actually feel bad for the guy. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't see anything wrong with a good chuckle over it, but I'd hope he gets a second chance. I really don't blame either of them for being bumbling idiots after he dropped those words as his intro. She's obviously pretty young and new too. Don't think they taught how to handle that at Columbia.

And it is pretty clear that no one on this thread has been on-air before in the studio. The first time on camera is pretty touch and go for anyone.

You're right; I've never been on air in a studio. But if I were, I think my number one goal would be to avoid making a complete idiot of myself. And that starts with not swearing loudly and being unable to form simple sentences about myself.

They actually did suspend this guy (HERE).

The very cool thing about the comments from locals, however, is that they are generally supportive and would like the station to give Mr. Clemente a shot at redemption.

Still, Deadspin posted his postmortem of the performance from Clemente's own Twitter (now disabled, it seems). He said, "It couldn't have gone any worse."

Three Things...

1. As someone who works on camera, I have to believe who ever hired this guy should be fired.

2. AJ's Twitter is now down. This dissapoints me.

3. I would send in my resume...if it WASN'T IN NORTH DAKOTA.

They were both pretty weak, but, as you said above, it's Bismark, North Dakota.  These are probably their first jobs out of college and they're weekend anchors.  The available talent pool to anchor weekends in Bismark is not probably not filled with network quality talent.
