West Virginia University FTW
The news was NSFW tonight. youtube.com/watch?v=D0rP6I…— Scott Schroeder (@ScottSchroeder) April 21, 2013
Passes it to the man...
goes the dynamite has to be the worst in my opinion.
"The Man" but now at last, I've seen him!
That may be the shortest career ever.
And boom goes the unemployment
Well, It can only go up from there...that is if he still has a job..fuckin shit
Shit am i on the air???
"Fuckin Shit" - his on-air handle. Love it!
All that tanning and makeup for nothing.
Aaaand your career's over.
I wouldn't have known who had done the worse job. My god that was painful to watch.
I'm used to, um, you know, from being from, in, East Coast.
Does anybody outside of West Virginia consider West Virginia the East Coast?
Big 12 Conference
But nothing will ever come close to this:
Your post was labeled redundant! Haha!
Putting that distinguished West Virginia degree to good use i see..
That was awesome
his dance partner there was no virtuoso, either. Was this for real? He looked like an actor hired to play an anchor having a disaster on camera. But that's been done.
Right by Bismarck and I can verify that it was indeed....real!
In all fairness to that guy? Huh? Yeah, she got a little flustered, but I probably would too if I was on live TV with my partner talking like that. I give credit to her for not bursting out in laughter.
I actually feel bad for the guy. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't see anything wrong with a good chuckle over it, but I'd hope he gets a second chance. I really don't blame either of them for being bumbling idiots after he dropped those words as his intro. She's obviously pretty young and new too. Don't think they taught how to handle that at Columbia.
And boom goes the dynamite.
Wow. Even the Boom Goes the Dynamite Guy thought that was awkward.
Definition of a FAIL!
And it is pretty clear that no one on this thread has been on-air before in the studio. The first time on camera is pretty touch and go for anyone.
Except this probably wasn't his first time on camera.
You're right; I've never been on air in a studio. But if I were, I think my number one goal would be to avoid making a complete idiot of myself. And that starts with not swearing loudly and being unable to form simple sentences about myself.
It would be nerve racking. That's why there is a plan..or a script. Cue cards. Teleprompter...the station either failed by not having the dude prepared, or...i don't know. Painful.
This is painful yet captivating to watch at the same time. Can't wait for the next broadcast
Mole! Bloody mole!
They actually did suspend this guy (HERE).
The very cool thing about the comments from locals, however, is that they are generally supportive and would like the station to give Mr. Clemente a shot at redemption.
Still, Deadspin posted his postmortem of the performance from Clemente's own Twitter (now disabled, it seems). He said, "It couldn't have gone any worse."
The picture won't post because quickmeme sucks ass.
I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany...
The reaction from the girl was priceless.
Yet another reason why I never pursued news broadcasting.
1. As someone who works on camera, I have to believe who ever hired this guy should be fired.
2. AJ's Twitter is now down. This dissapoints me.
3. I would send in my resume...if it WASN'T IN NORTH DAKOTA.
He wasn't exactly Brian Williams after the cussing. Did you follow his last sentence? Just watched his reel...brutal.
Who among us has not struggled at the start of a new job or endeavor?
They were both pretty weak, but, as you said above, it's Bismark, North Dakota. These are probably their first jobs out of college and they're weekend anchors. The available talent pool to anchor weekends in Bismark is not probably not filled with network quality talent.
that's how an emmy-winning veteran news anchor does it.
...keep fucking that chicken, ha ha ha that's classic
