I found it funny that Donovan seemed to be the only one disturbed by her performance in the video. Not worst ever, but pretty bad. Our anthem is a really tough song to sing, but still...

I think that's the probably cause of her poor performance.  She kept pressing at her earpiece, which is typically a sign a signer is having difficulty hearing.  Plus, if you go back to the originally linked story, they have a link to her singing the anthem at a Florida Gators BBall game and her performance is pretty decent.  She has at least some talent.

But what the hell ... all versions of the Star Spangled Banner pale in comparison to Fat Bob the Singing Plumber.

My favorite "bad" version of the anthem

Great gesture by Maurice Cheeks to help out the young singer (who actually had a pretty good voice, just seemed to catch stage fright).

Speaking of butchering anthems, someone should have checked this guy's BAC before he sang the South African anthem (which is normally a very beautiful song):

I'm not a fan of our national anthem to begin with, but when people can't sing it, it's 10x worse. I went to a small private college and the national anthem at the basketball games was sung by people on a volunteer basis. Mostly students that just wanted attention. I've heard it all. You would be shocked at how many people forget the words.
