Have the game on mute while listening to the Michigan hockey game. I don't really care who wins. Texas beat the Tigers so I don't want them to be successful, but I hate the Cardinals as well.

Which time? Like, uhh, the 3 times in the last 50 years? I'm a Cardinals fan, and obviously a Michigan fan, and lived in Michigan when the Cardinals won in 2006, and I can't quite get my head around this. From the Cardinals side, and even hearing people talk about 1968, I don't think I'd use the word "heated." Denny McClain was a 30 game winner, Gibson pitched 1, 4 and 7 and lost 7, and then...2006- wasn't much conflict in that series at all that I can recall, so...where is this coming from?

But I really like the way that Fox does baseball.  I also like Joe Buck and Tim McCarver very much.

But ... do Joe Buck and Tim McCarver do St. Louis games during the regular season?  Or has that ended?  Is this a situation in which the Cardinals' 'home' tv guys are doing the national broadcast?

[edit. - D'oh!  Joe Buck hasn't done Cards' home games since '08.  Thank you, uh, Wikipedia...]

One of the worst baseball games I have ever seen. So many errors and walking on runs. Hard to watch. But I can't take my eyes off being the potential last game.

You're not alone.

Lifelong Cards fan here who was born and raised in the StL.

It's not looking good for us at this point, but I will have a hard time being too disappointed even if we can't come back because of the great run we have had the past couple months.

At the beginning of Sept we were dead in the water.

Then, to not only make the playoffs but to knock off the Phillies and Brewers on our way to another pennant? Wow!

Losing will always stiing, but the way the Cardinals finished this season has made me as proud as ever to root for that organization.

With that being said, let's get a 9th inning comeback and then win it in 7!!!

Go Cards!

And of course, Go Blue!
