OT: World Cup predictions
Who do you think will win it all?
I've been a fan of Argentina since I was a six year old kid, but--while taking nothing away from him as a player--I seriously doubt Diego Maradona's competence as a coach. Too much ego for me. Also, Messi has underperformed in international play, and the theory that Maradona is trying to sabotage Messi's career (out of fear of being surpassed) does not seem all that ridiculous to me.
I think this will finally be Spain's year (not a bold prediction, I know).

has a very favorable draw. The 1st game against England will be huge since it has 1st place implication in group play right off the bat. If USA beat England, they should be able to go undefeated in group play. They likely won't have to face Germany in the 2nd round.
That is best case scenario for USA. I'm expecting them to finish 2nd in group play with that being said. If USA can advance past 2nd round, they're basically playing house money alas USA hockey in the Olympics.
