OT: WolvinLA2: Did you wear jersey last Sat. morning?

Submitted by StephenRKass on

So WolvinLA2, you had a thread last week asking advice on what to wear to a mtg. with your priest and your fiance, Saturday morning, IIRC. I've been curious:  did you wear your Michigan jersey or not? If not, why not? And if you did, did your fiance or your priest make any comments?

No, I didn't end up wearing the jersey.  Why?  Mostly because it was over 100 here on Saturday and we walk to the church which is about a mile away, up the hill.  As it was, I was a sweaty mess when we got there, I would have been much worse wearing a heavy jersey.  I put the jersey on the moment we got home.

I did, however, wear my "Michigan Alumni" t-shirt, which was touched by holy water.  Maybe it helped.  Trying it again this week might be a little cocky, it being against ND and all.

Are you far inland, something like Riverside? This summer, we spent time in San Francisco and Santa Cruz, and I don't think it got above 70 for a week, staying pretty much around 60. Wore a Michigan sweatshirt every day. Even at Yosemite and Bass Lake, it topped out around 85. When I lived in LA, it seemed rare to be over 100. Maybe global warming is really happening.

Regarding the jersey, thanks for finishing the story. Hope all goes well for you.
