OT: Winter Classic Parking
SIAP, or if this is too off topic mods can delete it, but I'm just wondering if anyone is attending the Winter Classic on Jan 1. If so, where are you parking? I'm used to parking for football, but I can't imagine that the golf course will be open for parking. Just curious where I should try and go.

This MLive article might be helpful to you: Reserved parking/tailgating spots for Winter Classic in Ann Arbor going fast
Complicating parking matters, Bond said, is the fact that thousands of spots normally available to the public during University of Michigan football games won't be available for the Winter Classic. The University of Michigan Golf Course near the stadium isn't allowing members of the public to park on its property on New Year's Day.
Ann Arbor Golf & Outing, which can accommodate 1,800 vehicles for football games, also isn't allowing the public on its course across from the stadium.
Bond expects a lot of private lawn parking spaces that are available during Michigan football games won't be available, either, as many people won't want to deal with waving cars onto their lawns in the cold on New Year's morning.
Michigan Event Parking is managing parking at Pioneer High School across from the stadium, charging $60 per car, $120 per limo and $300 per bus or RV.
Liz Margolis, school district spokeswoman, said there will be the same number of parking spaces at Pioneer for the Winter Classic as there is for football games.
"We will garner revenue for the parking, as we do for football parking," said Margolis, noting there will be bathrooms available there.

Park on the streets. 1st Street, 2nd Street, 3rd Street. The roads here are empty (I live nearby) because everyone is out of town.

I was expecting something far more than $120 to park my limo at Pioneer. Excellent.

humour I can really appreciate. The 'excellent' seals the deal.

Yeah... 60 to park at Pioneer?
Park anywhere on the West Side, on the aforementioned 1st, 2nd, 3rd streets, in the student ghetto. There will be a lot of street parking available depending on your willingness to walk.
My plan if I was coming from out of town?
Find a place on the street just west of main street, but north around Washington. Park on the street for free. Hit the following establishments on your walk to the stadium:
Grizzly Peak/Old German
Blue Tractor/Arena/mash
Ashley's
Then enjoy the walk down State Street - there should be a beautiful coating of snow on Angel Hall and the Union. Perhaps hit Quicky Burger/RUB BBQ if you need another drink. Pick up airplane liquor bottles at Campus Corner. Walk down Hoover and to the game.
You need to be willing to walk about 2 miles before the game and a 1.5 after, but that sounds like an awesome day to me. You could make it shorter by doing a main street bar crawl and avoiding campus/state street. But your here, so see campus. Walk back up Main Street after the game. Try to find a place to eat on the way.
