i dont think anybody feels good during overtime periods.

on a positive note, the wings do look a ton better to me this game.  the first two they looked unorganized and didn't have good puck possession.  tonight they are at least controling the game at times and getting good chances.

Agreed.  They have definitely took it stronger to the net tonight forcing SJ deeper into their zone.  Wings deserved to lose the first two but IMO probably deserved to win this one.  Unfortunately, they don't cash in on a handful of good scoring chances in OT and one slight deflection and it's 0-3.  Ugh.

stick the fork in them. Sorry Wings fans; after watching this team three games in a row that's a regular season team not a playoff team. The talent disparity between Thornton and every other player on the ice tonight was that substantial.

I'm not invested in this thing but it sure looked to me like Thornton was dominant in that overtime (i.e., it was Thornton who blocked a shot on the Wings OT powerplay and gained possession/cleared it off the wall later in that same shift when the Wings had it deep). It was Thornton who thoroughly humiliated Ericsson on that last play...oh, and he set up all three of Setoguchi's goals. Easily the best player on the ice. In watching that game I am puzzled by the Wing's lack of intensity excepting Zetterberg/Datsyuk who looked great.

looked like two pretty evenly matched up teams. The Wings  had the majority of the scoring chances in OT, unfortunately the Sharks got a lucky deflection off a d-men's stick.  Sometimes that is the way the puck bounces.

wow I didn't know the talent difference between a single D pairing and a single player was  substantial. I would take Zetters and Dats over any player on the Sharks.

you should know better since you have only watched three games...

Your from canada this doesnt surprise me you say this. Every quality player on San Jose is canaidan. minus Pavelski. Canaidan hockey fans have such a huge bias toward their own players its un real. I hate people from canada esp. hockey players nothing is more enjoyable than beating a hockey team from canada and watch them "try" and send a message it's precious.

how the one-time best defensive team in hockey and just about highest scoring team in the regular season looks listless in the postseason.

When they were scored on first on the powerplay, I figured this is how it would end. What the hell? How hard is it on the penalty kill to not let a guy stand at the corner of the net and ignore him?

look listless tonight. They played alot better than the first two games. Thought they played better than the Sharks for  a good portion of the game, Niemmi made alot of saves to keep SJ in the game and in OT though.

It is just so frustrating that they keep coming up on the wrong side of one goal games against SJ.

between the Wings teams that won playoff series a couple years back, and the Wings of this years and last years playoffs is simple. The Wings are playing not to lose. Both the OT games Detrroit had the lead in the 3rd and was content to continually give up the puck deep and then chase it around the rink. What happened to keeping the damn thing?
