Murray takes on Djokovic. Number 1 and Number 2 seeds facing off! Probably gonna be a five setter
Edit: Murray wins Wimbledon 2013, becomes the first British Champion in 77 years
6-3, 7-5, 6-4
Lets go Novak!
Nope. Tired of seeing Novac. Rooting for Andy.
I've never rooted for Murray, and I won't start now.
Andy does not look comfortable with his shoes. GG Adidas
Man I hate both of these guys. So much whining from both sides. But it is high quality tennis, nonetheless.
I don't think Federer is quite done yet...one more Wimbledon championship before he calls it quits.
He is done.
competition on the tour now. The depth is impressive so for an older player who has played on tour for a long time. Del Potro, Berdych and up and coming guys like Janowicz its going to be hard to 'recover' after tough matches for an older tour player. Even Djokovic looks tired from his match with Del Po. Chris Evert came up with a great observation..when you get older sometimes the body just doesn't work right on a given day.
Both of these guys are Pussies. I don't even know which one to root for. Men's tennis needs some good young American blood right now.
They are both awesome.
Go Murray! Djokovic is not looking comfortable out there with his tweaked wrist.
For Murray. Let the local boy win one.
How can anyone not be rooting for Andy Murray right now except for Djokovic's mom? No Englishman has won Wimbledon in 77 years, for crying out loud! It's time for the home team to get one.
It's always fun to watch the goofy, lovable hometown favorite to get put down by the dominant foreigner
Point of pedantry: Murray isn't an Englishman either. But he is a Brit.
Spot on. As a son of a Scottish mother (Glaswegian) and an English father (born in Wimbledon, actually) you don't want to call a Scot an Englishman. However, a lot of Scots are coming around to being called British (mostly the younger generation) but it's still a touchy issue.
The original Acts of Union were passed over 300 years ago. I can see how a Scot could be miffed by being referred to as an "Englishman", but the English, Scots, and Welsh have all been "British" for a long time now.
As a son of Welsh mother I find this hard to understand and honestly in all my interactions with Scots have not found it to be the case. Wales, like Scotland has many reasons for hating the English and would be very upset to be called "English" but are fine with (and even many times refer to themselves ) as British (to save people from asking "where's Wales). I haven't found Scots to be different in my interactions with them.
Aside from Novak's bitching, this is great tennis.
There has been less complaining in this match by either player than in just about any other game of any other sport you could see. Hockey players complain about calls, baseball players, basketball, football, and soccer... Don't understand why tennis players should be held to different standards
Can we agree on that?
right on cue novak is throwing a hissy fit
he blew away all his challenges so all he can do is bitch and moan
Murary had a death grip on this thing. Up 2 sets and a break, and he's gacked up 4 straight games.
The tennis today is so superior to yesterday.
I hate compelling sports when I have work to do. It was supposed be boring background television...
Novak punted the shit out of his water bottle. LoL
Murray is just trolling him at this point!
This game has been fabulous
The wait is over.
For a match what was won in straight sets, that was about as fabulous a championship as I can remember seeing.
