OT: who to taser?

Submitted by cjm on

On one Dallas' local ESPN radio shows (GAC: Galloway and Company) they were talking about the recent taser extravaganza.  The host decided to discuss which team's fanbase most deserves to be tasered.  Off course Eagles and Giants fans were mentioned as they are the enemy of the Cowboys.

What I liked, was as they concluded the section the entire GAC show agreed that, without a doubt, the Buckeye nation is deserving of such extracurricular activity.  I teared up a little bit... tears of joy of course.  True story from the land of Dallas.

I meant to add that they started by talking about OSU and I figured they were speaking of Oklahoma State but when one of the personalities mentioned the horseshoe I tuned in a little closer and the bucknut bashing began.

You can be assured that your fans are *special* when people are taking shots at them from hundreds of miles away (in another region).

In Chicago we have a lot of Big Ten and Independent football school alumni and we often get into the discussion of which fan base is most annoying.  Basically every school agrees it's tOSU, hands down.

Regardless of your subject/object and noun/verb snafus, I want to tase the guy who tased the guy who rushed the field in Philly. He should at least know how it feels if he isn't willing to tackle the guy. I have nothing wrong the taser itself, but I just think its implementation here takes the fun out of the go-get-'em atmosphere that is the good old days of fan-running-on-the-field-mania.

Of course, baseball players are much smaller than NFL linebackers, but this guy rules: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/football/nfl/specials/playoffs/20…

It's a fine line because I think that fans on the field pose a potential danger and they shouldn't be on the field during games, but two of my fondest memories are of rushing the field after we beat OSU in 1997 and 2003.

The police response at the big house in 1997 was pretty over the top and a lot of people were shocked by it.
