OT: Who is Albert Breer? (Harbaugh-to-NFL rumors)

While we're in a brief quiet period waiting for recruit news, I thought some might find this interesting.

For what little they're probably worth, the Harbaugh-to-NFL rumors are getting propagated on several sites this morning (e.g., CBS Sports). They're all traced to Albert Breer.

Who is Albert Breer? He's a journalist for The Shield (NFL): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Breer

Based on a quick look around the WWW, it seems that he may have a colorful history:

I can't say for sure that it's the same Albert Breer, but he can't say for sure that there's any substance to the "rumors," right?

You know, the phrase "giant-hot festering sack of chlamydia-infected pig shit" is thrown around alot these days. But sometimes, even in polite conversation, it remains appropriate. For instance, I might be inclined to say, "Last evening, while dining at the Four Seasons, I ran into Albert Breer, who, as we all know, is a giant-hot festering sack of chlamydia-infected pig shit."

spreading such rumors during the quiet period is just so bush-league. And then Meyer promoting Drevno for the FAU job to his buddies down there. Good news ... makes the Fuckeyes look school-children-scared of the coming sunami of UM 5* man-size commitments.

I can't believe anyone would actually be freaking out over this. The guy is a buckeye hack and it was an offhanded comment on Cowherd's show. John U Bacon, Brian, Ace etc. have all said that it is not true. Also, why would Harbaugh want to move all the way across the country to coach for one of the dregs in the NFL with a boss that just treated the previous coach terribly after his SF experience and why are DPJ, Wilson etc. all lining up to announce if he wasn't going to stay.

Harbaugh has too much history here, it's part of who he is. "Harbaugh to NFL is real thing" may just mean that the *Rams* may be giving Harbaugh serious consideration, but that doesn't mean Harbaugh is giving it serious consideraion. Those that know more about Harbaugh (i.e.fanatical Mgoblog readers) understand that Harbaugh and his family are way too integrated here. He's not just an alum, his formative years and his dad and role model Bo were here. We are jaded here because it seemed like most writers bought into the "Harbaugh would never leave the NFL" theme 2 years ago, which we could never understand.
