OT Which song is worse?

Submitted by uniqenam on

There's been a lot of talk about the Kenny Chesney song and how horrible it is for college football. However, another terrible song is the FSD "April in the D" for 2009. My question is, which do you think is worse, the Kenny Chesney song or "April in the D".

It's really not fair. They have two horrible choices: Dave Matthews and Kenny Chesney. Even that Plain White T's song from 2007 is way better than those two. They should play more rap, like throw in Hero by Nas. They played that last year during an NFL broadcast when they were going over Matt Cassell's stats.

that whomever puts the RAWK music list together doesn't resort to CRAZY TRAIN. The NFL has become so nauseatingly homogenized and standardized that, at least on TV, it hardly matters where the game is played or who is playing, because it's all packaged to feel like the same product.

Part of the reason for that is the endless reliance on that one dated and re-dated Ozzy tune. It's become a part of the recipe for all casual football fans, and I can only PRAY that it doesn't weasel its way into our House.

Chances that it will now be played tomorrow as a result of my rant: 87.46%, and rising.

Which April in the D? The bad, pseudo-indie pop one from this year, or the one by the bad rapcore group (from California, no less) that looked like members of Motley Crue from last year?

If it's the latter, then yeah.

"April in the D" is worse for one reason: April is five months from football season.

I can tolerate Kenny Chesney if it means the arrival of the glorious season of college football.

It has to be Kenny Chesney, I was tired of that song after the first time I heard it. I hate that I have to hear it for the rest of football season. Can't they just change the song every week.. or something.
