OT: Which NCAA 12 Rosters Will You Be Downloading?

Submitted by Culverhouse on

Every year I can never decide which rosters are the most accurate and legit. Does anybody have suggestions for which gamertag or group produces the best rosters?

As of right now I'm thinking of going with Fairdale Kings...

The gaming tailgate has the best rosters. Just not sure when they come out. I bought my game last yast year 2 weeks after it came out, so hopefully by tomorrow or Thursday they will be done.

Not sure how to embed, but go to their website www.thegamingtailgate.com for more information.

EDIT: actually, there is a status report on the rosters. Fairdale Kings has 67/120 teams done which is the most on the list. Again, go to the website and click on rosters. (on top on right hand side)

In an earlier thread, icefins26 said that he usually gets a pretty good roster and then perfects UM details. Not sure what his gamer tag is, but he said he'd post once he had it ready.

This really needed a new thread. You know, to go along with the four that have already been started in the last 24 hours regarding the same game.

Relax. There was not a thread posted about rosters. Having the rosters is a big deal to some, and imo, I feel it warrants it's own thread.

Since Waggles hasn't posted in this thread yet (total shocker), I will post for him:

"I hope the NCAA rosters come out soon!  I cannot wait to play as Denard in this game!  He is so fast!"

I downloaded Shakeandbake30 rosters for '11 and they are by far the most accurate, I don't know if he's done one yet because I haven't bought the game yet.

I started naming Michigan's players and it wouldn't let me enter "Russell" and "Cox" because it claims those names have profane text. Cox is somewhat understandable, but Russell? I hate EA Sports so much!

I am betting some of them are trademarked names that EA is worried about getting sued over. Naming somebody Russell Athletic and getting a notice because they didn't pay for the naming rights is probably their legal department getting involved. I worked at a large company doing software and they had many issues like this come up. I bet you could find some other ones blocked like Nintendo, PlayStation, Sony, etc. Wonder if they have a published list.

And I wonder if Shittu, MgoBlog, and TomVH are censored like Scout does?

Edit: was xbox centric there since obviously EA has agreements with Nintendo and PS.

ones from operation sports, since I post there as well. The community rosters from there for the 360 include corrections, in addition to the players being named.  I use one from there as my base set and than make my own edits from there.  I have a case of OCD, in terms of trying to use as realistic of rosters as possible. It will be quite awhile before I actually start a "real" dynasty.

I bought it again this year. Wasn't planning to because the last 3 years were pretty much the same plus Amazon wasn't giving out $20 credit for this year's version. Alas, the game credit popped up over the weekend and I caved in. Plan on putting that $20 towards Madden.

I can't break free of EA's grip. :(

Does anyone have a roster file available in the EA Locker for XBOX 360... I realize the full ones are not done, but I thought somebody on this board might have at least updated the Michigan roster.

Thanks.
