OT: Where to watch Olympic Hockey

Submitted by QuarterbackU on
With the men's hockey starting today in Vancouver, I wondered if any of you might have some suggestions for where to watch the game? I know it's broadcast live on NBC.com, but my Internet provider doesn't subscribe to their live broadcasts, so that's out... I checked the usual suspects, justin.tv and ustream.tv, but nothing seems to be lined up for broadcast... Any ideas?

The USA game is on the USA Network (ch. 242 on Direct TV) at 3 pm Eastern. So I believe it is being shown "live." Of course all of Canada's games should be live on CBC. How I miss CBC here in Chicago...

They're broadcasting the Ice Dance figure skating event over the US-Canada hockey game on Sunday...bumping the coverage to MSNBC. That's a nice way to keep the NHL on your network, NBC, make sure they don't get any exposure for the sport! Ugh, and Pierre McGuire is an analyst for the Olympic hockey games. Crosby circle jerk on the way...

Just about every game in the Olympic hockey tournament will be live on cable, or on short tape delay. We should be very glad NBC isn't showing these games on the main network--this way, we get the entire game rather than 10 minutes or so of each period. Today's games (Eastern Time): USA v Switzerland, 3:00 (USA Network) Canada v Norway, 7:30 (CNBC) Russia v Latvia, midnight (CNBC) Tomorrow's games: Finland v Belarus, 3:00 (MSNBC) Sweden v Germany, 7:30 (CNBC) Czech Republic v Slovakia, midnight (CNBC) Also: all hockey (and curling!) is streamed live on http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/live-full-replays.html

yea, if you go to NBC's olympic website there's a handy viewing guide that you can sort by date and sport to see what channel its on. Some are relegated to CNBC and MSNBC...why you'd put an action sport on a non-HD channel is beyond me. The Biathlon can't go on CNBC?
