OT: where is Irish???

Submitted by GOBLUE4EVR on

Irish where are you??? have you gone into hiding because ND isn't playing as well as you thought they would this year??? i thought for sure you would have posted something in one of the many ND threads that have been created in the past few weeks but you haven't posted in 6 weeks since the ND game... either way i miss your level headed posting when it comes to ND football...

he got hit hard by some solid posting and is being held out until the second half of the season, where he will bring it strong. subsequently everyone will say that UM posters would have been pwn3d regularly had he been around on the board all season

looking at his posting history, he made a comment 4-5 days ago and then it was once a week since the game. i think he may have turned shy when the Kelly Transition turned out to be a long-term process.

i definitely encouraged your posting here. and i didn't actually mean the kelly comment badly - you were a huge advocate for him and i figured the whole thing had left a bad taste in your mouth. hell, the last two seasons for UM would have given me little to no interest in posting on other team's boards

6-6 is not the best case scenario, ND can win all 4 games left on its schedule and they can lose all 4 games left on the schedule.  They play utah after a bye week, coincidentally the week after they play TCU.  Army is having a tougher than normal year, Tulsa has the worst pass defense in the country and USC is now being led by lane kiffin.

All 4 of those reasons could be game breakers in ND's favor.  They played better than their record showed in the first 6 games; so far its been pretty average in 2nd 6, but there is still 4 games to play and bye week to rest up a bit.  Not the least bit worried

Totally agree about USC.  That team is a shell of the powerhouse from even a couple of years ago.  ND has a very good chance to pull that game out even though it is on the road.  Heck, there may be more ND fans at that game than USC fans since the bandwagon apparently broke an axle and Kiffin has come down with dysentary.

All these "haven't seen you comment on ND" stuff is well and good, but I'm actually less interested in pigeon-holed Irish and more interested in general-commentary on college football and Michigan Irish. Not just representing your team for the board, but your posts like everyone else. If for no other reason than to show Spartan fans how to be on a message board of an opposing team and conduct yourself.

What did you think about the Diaco presser from earlier today up on und.com. NDNation seems to be going up in flames over it. Made for an entertaining hour at work today!

Or whoever the guy is who made that video.  I love that guy.

I appreciate having Irish around (as well as any other knowledgeable, non-trollish FOOTs (fans of other teams)).

Hands-down, this is the worst comment I have ever seen on here from someone with over 1000 points/non-n00b. Shameful. Seriously. Yes, it's too fucking soon, Shirtless. Jesus Christ, what is this, RCMB or something? Come on- that's just really low brow. I mean, you realize the kid died, what, 6 or 7 hours ago? If I could, I'd neg you all of my points.

It was a softball lobbed over the plate, and I unapologetically knocked it out of the park.  It wasn't in the thread discussing his death, and to the best of my knowledge, none of this dude's immediately family post on this board.  I'm a cold hearted bastard, big deal.

I've been negged worse, I'm obviously not worried about my points.

I can honestly say that Irish is the only person, product, or idea associated with the University of Notre Dame toward which I feel anything more positive than the foulest black-hearted loathing.

Welcome back Irish! (missed you big guy xoxo).
