OT: Where Are You?

Oftentimes while reading this blog I notice in the comments people mention where they are presently located in the world.  I always (wrongly) imagine that all of the readers are in Michigan, but I am always amazed as to the quantity and diversity of readers' locations.  So, out of curiosity, where are you presently located in the world?

 I, for one, am currently in the D.  How about the rest of you?

Michigan.  Specifically Frankenmuth.  Sunny and 58- perfect.  Thinking of getting in 9 holes with the kids after picking them up from school and before baseball practice.

Greatest state in the country!  MI born and raised.

Lived in NC, TN, Cali, IN, NM, Saskatchewan, Ontario (Michigan East) among other places.  Cali was nice but seriously missed spring, fall and winter.  Too hot for me down south and not enough snow.

Never want to move from MI ever ever ever again.

I might as well make this my first official response. I've read this blog for many years, but just signed up a few days ago. I was born and raised about 40 miles west of the enemy's base, in Springfield, Ohio. Almost 14 years ago to the day I finally couldn't stand being in the presence of so many irritating, ignorant Buckeye fans, so I packed up and moved to the beautiful island of Maui! One of the greatest benefits to living here, besides the 365 days of awesome weather, is that I get to wake up at 6:00am on a Saturday to watch the Wolverines play and still have the rest of the day to do other things!

You don't by chance do offshore fishing much do you? I recently got into buying/selling fishing gear to help pay for my hobby, and I'd love to do some marlin fishing sometime down there. I personally am fascinated by the lure developers from the Islands - some of the best offshore fishing gear from around the world resides there.  I sell a ton of my stuff to Maui and the surrounding islands. Looking forward to the day I make that trip!

No I haven't done any offshore fishing, although I'd love to sometime. I had a friend who was a captain for a snorkel sailboat, and I used to go out on the weekends for free and hang out but that's been the extent of my offshore experience. I know the marlin fishing is much better off the Big Island because of how deep the water is compared to the shallow areas off of Maui.

I've posted from about 10 different countries, most recently China, and I've lived in Amsterdam, Dearborn, A2, and Oberlin, OH over the past several years. I'm in my kitchen in Oberlin right now.

Mequon, WI- where jack and Jackie harbaugh resides (or use to reside). Did they move to Ann arbor? Kind of a cool story, I used to work at a medical clinic and checked in jack and Jackie as well as a member of the media team in the football department who grew up in this area.
