OT: Where Are You?

Submitted by VCavman24 on

Oftentimes while reading this blog I notice in the comments people mention where they are presently located in the world.  I always (wrongly) imagine that all of the readers are in Michigan, but I am always amazed as to the quantity and diversity of readers' locations.  So, out of curiosity, where are you presently located in the world?

I, for one, am currently in the D.  How about the rest of you?

Big fights are shown at a lot of local bar and grills for a cover charge.  The only hotels to show the fight will be MGM owned hotels who will provide special event centers to watch the fight on big screens for a rather larger fee (over $100 last I heard).  The buzz and hype is incredible over the fight here in Las Vegas, much more than any other fight at least in the last decade.

I would love for the regular Tbilisi readers to chime in here, just to let us know how far the reach of this blog is.

Incidentally, was in Armenia for a few days not long ago. Very friendly folk there who were more than willing to engage me in polite conversations using my shit version of Russian.

I was just in Tbilisi, though Yerevan is great too. I of course read mgoblog while there so at least for a time there's two mgobloggers in the Caucasus.

EDIT: Okay, now there are at least three.

EDIT EDIT: I accidentally upvoted myself, so rather than living with that shame I downvoted myself.

Secretary of State in Oak Park. Wife's plate not eligible for online or kiosk renewal so have to sit here amid the misery and suffer thru the poor customer service.

Really depends on how much time you have and what your interests are.

If you have a few hours, a car, like to hike get and see some amazing views, head to Rattlesnake Ridge or Mt. Si.  (probably what I'd do - you would be amazed at the mountains and beauty of this area)

If you like breweries, check out Georgetown Brewery or Freemont Brew co.

Food - some of the best Asian and seafood in America.

Tourist stuff - EMP is kind of interesting and Duck boat tours of the city are cliche but you see a lot in a short time.  Also could rent a kayak and cruise Lake Union at http://www.nwoc.com/rental/.
