OT- where are you watching World Cup

Submitted by ATLalumni on
Hopefully my MgoBrethren can help me out with this. I live in Atlanta, but want to find a really cool bar/pub to watch the England/USA game. When I was in San Fran a few weeks ago, i went to the coolest Liverpool club members bar. What about in your cities?

The Cheetah.  Just kidding...sorta.  I did a quick google search and The Rose and Crown Soccer Pub should be what you're looking for.

Fado in Buckhead might be a cool place to go.  I love that place for Trivia (on Wed. night?)

There are also your standard ESPN Zone, Buffalo Wild Wings, Fox and Hounds.  You could also just go to Taco Mac or somewhere in the Highlands (or Little 5 points!)

I live in NYC, and I think a major pub to watch a soccer match is Nevada Smith's.

I'm secretly rooting for Greece. My mom's side of the family is 50% Greek and that country has had a rough two years with their political struggle with all of the riots and violent protests in the streets of Athens. It would be nice to see a ray of hope over the nation in an event that emphasizes peace and brotherhood in the world through sport. I do hope though that the US can go the distance but I'm backing Greece if the US should be knocked out.

As if I needed another reason to hate you... Greece plays the most mind numbeningly boring football in the universe.    I'd rather let Fernando Torres dropkick me in the balls 500 times than watch one minute of those fucks pass the ball around their own half of the field for 90 minutes.

If you was hangin' from a cliff, gettin' ready to fall to your death and Bush was at the top of the cliff, and all you needed was a fuck to save your life, and Bush had a pocket full of fucks...he wouldn't give you one. "Hey, Bush, I need a fuck!" "Ohh, you know I don't give a fuck.

The soon-to-be wife hates soccer, i admit i don't watch unless it is the World Cup or UEFA Championship.  Therefore, i have been kicked out to my Man Cave.  Maybe head out for the Semi-Finals and Final though.

If you're in Pittsburgh, I would recommend Piper's Pub on Carson (if you can get in).  It's probably the best soccer bar in the city.  It's liable to be packed real early, especially on the 12th (a big English contingent will likely be in there).

I live in Louisville, KY but I will be driving up to my hometown of Battle Creek, MI to follow through with a tradition since 02. My dad, soccer friends and myself at Arcadia Brewry. Anglers Ale and a hopeful Mexico victory in the opening match.

Most probably at home. If I can find a pub with a good atmosphere, I'll check it out... but watching sports in a bar isn't really my scene.

There are American and English bars around the city, I'll bounce around until I find the one I like the most.  Top choice so far is Hollywood in Itaewon, if that means anything to anyone.

And I haven't seen it yet, but supposedly there's a 600" screen outside somewhere in Seoul that will be broadcasting the games in 3D, I'm hoping to check that out too
