OT: What is your secret favorite cheesy song?
So everyone, no matter how sophisticated their musical taste, has that one song that you may possibly be embarrassed to have your friends discover in your iPod. That artist that may not have not much critical respect that has a song that you just love every time you hear it. Current or past, everyone has one. In my case I have several, but I'll offer one to start: Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield. What's yours? The internet is offering you anonymity...
Kelly Clarkson... anything she's ever recorded.
I couldn't remember what he said in that scene
I know he once said, "I love lamp! and Loud noises."
Gets me every time. My girlfriend thinks I'm a nancyboy for liking this song. Screw her!
my (now ex-)wife to have this played at our wedding. That was a no, for some reason.
this song takes me all the way back to 1990. I would agree, cheesy.
This thread is ova...
insult miley like that ....
chessy? hell no
this is the chessiest video. It could be considered somewhat cheesy as well.
Hahaha! Nice! A few of my friends discovered this song in high school and I ended up hearing it hundreds of times.
But it did inspire/remind me of this-
Check
How about the Miley/Biggie mash up.
This was my answer before I saw it posted, nice work.... As well as that JoJo girl with "too little too late"
damn it you toook my idea
Anything by Weird Al
He may be cheesy, but he is a legend
on MGoBlog. jessie's girl lol...Not a secret I hide from my friends. Extreme 'More Than Words" if I remember correctly thats just saying you have to sleep with me to prove you love me. Miley Cyrus is a whore...sorry. Weird Al was somewhat acceptable in the 90's, ok not at all actually. My SUPER SECRET song would probably be Air Supply "All Out of Love". I'm going to go hide for the next month until everyone forgets.
Ambrosia - How Much I Feel
Lifehouse - Broken. Song makes me cry everytime I hear it.
So I'm all about the cheese. But lately, the one I can't get out of my head, thanks to this damn game-
Or for the purest out there-
It doesn't get any cheesier than Erasure.
There is nothing wrong with Erasure. Case in point:
And I am not embarrassed at all to say that I love this song:
I raise you-
Though I confess, the reaction of women at the dance club and acapella show might have skewed my memory of them.
And Tears for Fears had some great stuff, even beyond Shout and Everybody Wants to Rule the World....
Not to be all "haters gonna hate," but I had heard of Erasure, yet didn't know of a single song. Now I know why!
I do know When in Rome from a movie or something, though.
Napoleon Dynamite.
(And I don't think you're a hater..I thought it was pretty damn funny).
I prefer the Gary Jules version
and I perfer tears for fears
holy cow this has been a tab in my firefox for a week or two now. I guess my secret is I like New Wave and this song is the shit.
This song gets me every time. I remember my brother putting it on the juke box at the bar to embarrass me. It worked (our dart game had to be put on hold until the song ended).
Wow. I managed to watch that whole thing.
yeah - me too. i find myself oddly attracted to Lady Gaga despite having a major preference for dark haired/dark skinned women.
that she's kinda homely either--IME
I just read an article on her in Rolling Stone, and when she was in high school, she was pretty. She's Italian, so she naturally had the dark look. I would take the pre-Gaga look any day of the week.
To be with you by Mr. Big and More than words by Extreme
"To Be With You" is my favorite cheesiest song and is also my karaoke song. Good pick!
I had to test the waters a bit before posting this one. But since we're letting it all hang out
Hey, the Bangles are great.
But Prince wrote music for them (Manic Monday), so they couldn't be all cheesy. Now, Walk Like an Egyptian...
Any of Journey's love songs. Particularly Faithfully. Thats some powerful stuff right there.
Don't Judge me.
Best.Song.Ever. But why did he shave the stache? Should have left it and went with a jean shirt, jeans, and a jean jacket.
