OT-What is the worst piece of memorabilia or apparel that you own?

Submitted by CJRockford on

Kind of, but not really, another apparal thread.  As the title states, what is the worst piece of memorabilia or apparel that you own?  Try and top mine:

Yes, I have a Sugar Bowl "Pour Some Sugar On Me" shirt autographed by our favorite former AD, Dave Brandon!

Brother in law works for MLB so he gives us a lot of odd memorabilia. Anyway, I have a framed piece commemorating "The Imperfect Game" where Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga was robbed of a perfect game by bad call at first base. It has a photo of Galarraga and a replica lineup card signed by Jim Leyland. And some kind of authentic seal and medallion. It's an odd piece. I also have two of those Miguel Cabrera NL MVP bobble heads.

Eddie George autographed hat. Was walking around a mall in Orlando the day after Christmas the year he won the Heisman. My buddy and I notice Eddie walk right by us. We followed him into a Champs sports and got a (Citris Bowl I believe) hat and had him sign it.

A friend got me a Yankees winter hat - complete with swastika - for Xmas about 10yrs ago during the height of my hatred. I gave it to a neighbor kid as payment for shoveling my driveway so all ended well.

You know, I almost don't have any lamentable stuff. No RR, No Hoke, No Brandon. No bumblebee jersey, no jerseys, no nutsacks. (I can't comprehend the last. SMH in horror.)

My tastes run toward classic, timeless stuff, and so that's all I ever buy. I personally love my neon Michigan Adidas t-shirts (and before that, ancient Nike maize t-shirts,) my old Champion reverse weave sweatshirts, my block Michigan hats. They all still look good years later.

Realistically, the oddest or tackiest or strangest stuff didn't start until several years ago when MGoBlog starting throwing in a Tee with a $50 HTTV order. I wear the yellow photobomb Tee of Brian when I'm mowing the lawn or cleaning the gutters, etc. That shirt may be the ugliest shirt I own at all, let alone of Michigan stuff.

I first became a Michigan fan in 1978 and I couldn't tell you what apparel they wore. I'm a fan of the University and their teams no matter what they wear. So, when all this Adidas stuff goes on sale I'll lap as much of this stuff up as I can. Lastly I will never re buy stuff beacuse the changed to Nike.

As a kid, I had Bullets #2 Chris Webber jersey. This was a big deal because he only wore #2 for a short time before taking the #4 jersey.

I sold it to some dirty hipster on eBay last year for $70

I have this framed, felt, vertical banner that my Dad (an Ohio State fan) bought be for Christmas. Apparently he paid about 100 bucks for it. The item itself is OK, but I've seen this same banner (sans frame) for 25 dollars before. My Dad (who was genuinely trying to do something nice) got screwed over by some novelty store.

I know you said "own" and not "owned" but I was 11 when LeBron came into the league and I bought his jersey.....I still get chills from that one. Then again I didn't know he was gonna be a huge DoucheFuck.

One of my sisters attended St. Mary's in South Bend for a couple years. She got me a Notre Dame pennant and had Lou Holtz sign it for me. It says, "Peter, Keep On Fighting! - Lou Holtz" I thought it was cool when I was younger but now that I'm an adult I can't help but wonder how much he may have slobbered on the pennant while signing it.

The Pistons sent Austin Daye to Meijer two days after he was drafted and I had him sign a bottle of Orange Juice. 'Simply Orange' I believe. Lots of pulp.

About 9 years ago I won tiger tickets from 97.1 playing hot potato with Jamie Samuelson and Greg henson. It was for a random away game vs. The Indians and it just happened to be disco night and cc Sabathia bobblehead night. So my wife and I each received a disco dressed cc Sabathia bobble head that is still collecting dust in my basement. Tigers smoked the Indians that night too.

I had a friend make me a t-shirt for the last Notre Dame game. It says "To Hell With Notre Dame" on the front. It wouldn't have been bad had the blue been the right shade... The makeshift split-M on the back doesn't help either. Oh well, he made a not so subtle shirt for a ND fan at work too. "Fuck Michigan" big and bold on the front. Typical.

Almost forgot that I still had this! It's an Isiah Thomas can cooler! You can fit two cans of pop or beer in it.  The  hat (yes, it's a basketball player wearing a baseball hat) lifts up and the cans go in.  My sister bought this for me back around 1990 or so and since about 1992 his face has been held on by scotch tape, lol

I have a couple dozen Jose Conseco rookie cards. I remember my Dad saying "you can pay for college with them" when I was 10 years old.

It's so bad, I don't even know how to spell Catino. Is it Catino, Cuttino, or Cattino? And I don't even wear basketball jerseys. Why did my wife think this was a good Christmas present? I have no idea.

I don't have anything bad, but I did buy a white number two jersey when McGuffie was wearing that number, so it's a McGuffie jersey. Yeah...he turned out well (for Michigan, I mean).

I purchased a Hoke signed jersey at the Chicago Sports O Rama the year after they went 11-2 and also had Hoke and Brandon sign a mini helmet with Beilein.  Good thing Sharpies can be rubbed off with some elbow grease!

called me a few years ago from a Detroit Lions "Garage Sale," and they were selling authentic Charles Rogers and Joey Harrington jerseys for $10.00 each.

He asked me which one I wanted, and I chose the #80 Rogers jersey, because 3 didn't seem like a good Detroit Lions football number.

I took the nameplate off the back of the jersey, so it's a generic #80 Lions jersey. I don't wear it very often.

Mississippi Valley State jersey. Since he admitted to using stickum I just hate him. All of the 49ers Super Bowls should have astericks and he should be thrown out of the HOF. He should probably be deported to Canada as well.

So I couldn't think of anything bad I have.
