1977 Mercury Monarch (acquired summer of '87 prior to junior year of HS).  Baby blue with a yellow door, a red hood, and a fair amount of rust around the edges.  Ugliest car in the history of the world, but could spin some amazing donuts in the snow.

First car was the dreaded 1977 Chevy Chevette, 4-speed manual.   Paid like $600 for it as it hardly ran and heater did not work.  For some reason at 16 years old it didn't bother me too much.

1982 Pontiac 6000.  Got it in 1993 for $125. It didnt run.  My dad (a GM mechanic) rebuilt the engine.  Drove it for 2 years, then sold it for $500.

red, 4 cyl, 5 speed manual. half doors and a soft top that would let fine snow through but was mostly watertight. perfect first car. slow, convertible in the summer, 4WD in the winter, no abs or traction control so I had to learn to drive without electronics. the kick parking break meant friends were terrified of the 4 pedal layout and never asked to borrow it!
