Home Field Advantage

Denver has the thin air, Oregon has the crowned field, PW has the cow shit smell. What can I say? It seems to work though.

I have noticed the nice rivalry with the Burg in BBall. Although, unless I'm way out of the loop which is entirely possible, our main rival in all sports is still Fowler. I guess you can be our MSU to Folwer's OSU in basketball at least.

CMAC - a collection of small-ish schools, but tough as nails all. Can't believe the conference spans from Saranac to Dansville now, but whatever. I don't have to ride the buses.

Greenwood High School in Greenwood, South Carolina for my first two years and now the Governor's School (SM) for my junior and senior years

A local powerhouse in football the last ten years; three state titles, the last one in '06. Basketball and Baseball were okay. Winning seasons and all that, but not particularly spectacular. The soccer team was decent; I played keeper for the JV team my freshman and sophmore years, and we barely had a .500 record those years.

Notable Alums, particularly football players:

Kelcy Quarles, USC defensive tackle
Sam Montgomery, LSU defensive end

And sadly, Quarterback of the Appalachian State Mountaineers back in '07, Armanti Edwards.

terrible at football, terrible at basketball, really good at cross country when i was there, and apparently our band was pretty impressive.
embarrassing for the football stands to empty after the halftime show though.

Hemlock High School (1991).

We were pretty good at hoops and baseball.  State semi-finals in baseball my senior year (class c?). 

Football not so much.  Seemed like we could beat the teams we were supposed to lose to and lose to the teams we were supposed to beat.
