OT: What happens if Jameis Winston is charged between regular season and bowl selection?

Submitted by WichitanWolverine on

Assuming FSU rolls through Florida and their ACC Championship opponent, they'll likely retain their #2 BCS ranking.

However, I've read that FSU has a policy that any student-athlete charged with a felony is automatically ineligible to play. Now that Baylor is out of the picture, would the #3 team (likely the Buckeyes) back into the NC game if Winston ends up being charged? In other words, how much does player personnel factor into the BCS bowl selection nowadays?

All voters in the Harris Interactive and USA Today polls are invited to Indianapolis, where Mark Emmert reports on Winston's status and reminds them how important it is that the championship game involve the two most competitive teams.

They vote Missouri #1 and Alabama #2, and the championship game is once again a rematch of the SEC Championship Game.

The associate director of public and media relations denies that the meeting ever took place; an ESPN Films attempt to interview outside counsel fails when the NCAA invokes client/attorney privilege.
