Hair Nation is a great station
love it and lithium
Yes. I toggle between Ozzy's Boneyard and Hair Nation.
Hopefully Yacht Rock returns again after labor day.
Yacht Rock, listened to it all the time and hope it returns. Listen to the Bridge alot.
Rock the bells radio on Sirius is great for me. Not a fan of mumble rap, so the golden era works fine for me. Hair nation and various heavy metal stations are great too. Comedy channels are good too
I always toggle between Boneyard, Hair, Lithium and Turbo. I used to like classic vinyl but they went a lot lighter with easy 70s music, I miss hearing the harder LZ songs on classic vinyl. Turbo has the new good rock from the 90s through 2010. Back when I use to listen to Octane but the new harder rock sucks. Sometimes I'll switch to liquid metal but some of those songs are just too growly but you may catch some Metallica or Slayer.
Is my jam
Radio too
Metallica harvester is sorrow
Language of the mad
I love stand up comedy
hot pockets
The Beatles.
pearl jam, turnpike troubadours, the doors, lost immigrants, cody canada and the departed/cross canadian ragweed, etc. Alexa is my jam!
not Childish Gambino. cant stand his new song.
I love his music prior to Redbone. Freaks and Geeks and Sweatpants era was awesome.
EDIT: I liken it to Joyner Lucas releasing I'm not Racist. It's a dparture from his formula that I like a lot.
redbone?
Redbone was good,
I hate the song, yet I can’t stop listening to it.
I think the video is artistic and did a good job making people talk. the song itself makes my ears bleed.
The song is annoying as funk but the video is at least, thought provoking. Early 90’s hip hop addressed racism in such a better way lyrically. The woke generation seems still so asleep to the big picture, it’s hard to take them seriously.
yoooo the call me maybe gambino is the shit!!
I'm liking it-- something about the dramatic shifts in tone. I like the video too --can't stop watching it.
Nickelback is my fave and also a fave amongst the MGoBlog staff /s
Classic Rock stinks !!!
Not really anything new, but...various records by:
The Amazing
Big Head Todd & The Monsters
The Chameleons
Lord Huron
Porcupine Tree
Richard Thompson
Riverside
World Party
***Cigarettes After Sex sounds alot like Mazzy Star only not as good***
but I only have Fade into You on my phone. I never really liked their other stuff as much as I like songs like K and Sweet by CAS.
I added his station back to my Pandora shuffle. I had forgotten how much I like his music.
And like Kudasai above, I listen to Big Head Todd. That's probably a top 5 band for me.
I listen to lot of Langhorne Slim, Drive By Truckers, Jason Isbell, The Wood Brothers, Houndmouth, Pearl Jam, The Kinks, Tom Petty, Gaslight Anthem, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys. The list could probably go on for a while but that’s a pretty good representation of my rotation.
The R&R HoF induction ceremony was on HBO this weekend. I understand why Bon Jovi got the headliner treatment, but I think The Cars, The Moody Blues, and Dire Straits are equally deserving. And now that I am not 17 years old anymore, I'd rather listen to any of the three latter bands. I mean, how can you do better than Nights in White Satin?
Solid class. Moody blues are more than deserving to headline. Days of future passed is just an all time classic album that needs to be listened to on a record player. Favorite song of theirs, Question.
would be my favorite MB song. I remember first hearing it on CKLW 800 AM rock station back when I was 7, probably came out in '69 or '70? I remember hearing the old LZ songs on CKLW, use to be the top rock station before they changed formats in '74. Then WRIF became my favorite rock station. I wonder if Arthur P is still on the air?

Lots of great interviews with very successful people.
Whitey Morgan and the 78’s; some good Flint boys. I don’t like the majority of new country music, but these guys don’t play that pop country bs. Give em a look if you’re into that 70’s outlaw country sound.
Bobby Feeno's album was pretty good
Chopin. The wife had oral surgery today, and she's enjoying relaxing music in the background.
from when music had heart
Here are some 90s jams that never got as popular as they should have:

Bonus track if you're into that dreampop/shoegaze vibe:
Love the shoegaze bands ...also
mbv
Swervedriver
Lush
Ride
One other band I forgot to mention earlier is Joywave.
What a cool band. A great mix of past and present alternative.
Nice on the Swervedriver, just started listening to them
Other bands:
Failure
Shiner
Sparta
No Knife
Rival Schools
Boo Radleys
Pale Saints
Airiel
Blind Mr Jones
Beach House
Migos and old school Dayton Family (What's On My Mind, FBI)
Used to bump Dayton family back in the day!!! Migos though, they are a disgrace to rap. They tried to battle BONE, and got thoroughly embarrassed. They are like remedial school nusery rappers, I can’t listen to them, without laughing.
I’ve been listening to a lot of the Jocko Podcast as well as The Joe Rogan Experience. As an avid outdoorsman I’ll listen to the MeatEater podcast with Steven Rinella too.
Home Free. Think Pentatonix with a twang. I just discovered them and can't seem to get enough of them.
Gojira - Magma
AC/DC to Allison Krause. Replacements to REM. Cars to Cash. Zeppelin to Zydeco.
Really into Greta Van Fleet right now.
I will wait for GVF to develop their own sound before I like them. They sound like a Zep cover band, which I know is not an original knock on them. I think when they mature a bit they will find it.
