Bell's 25th anniversary ale
well that's just, like, your opinion, man
Bell's 25th anniversary ale
New Belgium sunshine wheat, bud light, and 7 & 7s. Should be fun.
Can be a really baaaaaaaad idea.....
Bell's is really good beer.
I am drinking bourbon. I only drink bourbon. Usually Wild Turkey 101 or some nice Rare Breed.
Still enjoy whiskey - but now can't fathom drinking the Mark again.
Pappy Van Winkles 23 year old is my current favorite, but had Wild Turkey 101 last night.
Sam Adams Oktoberfest
Cheers to that my friend... it was either that or Anchor Steam... had to go with the seasonal edge. Pretty solid
and now back to some Blue
nice to see your supporting the Canadian economy with the Blue (although, editorially, it's far from our best)
Half Guinness, Half Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Better than a Black and Tan, IMO
An interesting combination that I had not thought of.
Don't know what it is, but I can only go Maker's on the rocks. maybe it's an allegiance to the fact I did one of those survey things where i got paid a couple of hundred bucks to drink maker's and explain my whiskey preferences.
New Holland Ichabod. Best Fall Beer there is....
I love Ichabod. That, along with Bell's Oktoberfest is the best one-two punch of the year. I love fall for beer, football and hunting. Try Arcadia Jaw Jacker if you like Ichabod.
Woo! I'm out of control! ;)
I'll have a shot (or more) of Jamesons later...
Stone cold red burgundy. The sweet nectar of pre-victory.
I've been drinking a lot of Belgian beers lately, but my wife brought this back from Buffalo for me.
Brought Arrogant Bastard back from Buffalo?
I'm from Buffalo (and now go to UM). Labatt Blue is so popular in Western New York that Labatt decided to open up a brewing plant in Buffalo, which now services the northeast. Ask anyone in Buffalo what their favorite beer is, and chances are it's Labatt.
Of course, in Rochester (NY) there is the the Genesee Brewing Company, infamous makers of Genny Light and Genny Cream Ale (aka Screamers for all the poor college kids in WNY that have to succumb to drinking it...whose name refers to what happens the morning after).
Still a tad early but, Sam Adams Octoberfest
Whatever the party has. Idc what
"If it's free, it's for me!"
Unfortunatly nothing tonight.
Tomorrow though will be another story.
I offer my condolences on being stuck with that name.
Arcadia Ales Jaw Jacker
Belgian-style Wit Bier. Really good stuff. Never had it before, and the local supermarket had a case of single bottles, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'll pick up some more.
Flying Dog is brewed in Frederick, MD. I was previously unfamiliar with their products, but if the Belgian white is any indication, these guys are the real deal.
The tears of a thousand virtuous pagans.
The tears of a thousand patulous virgins.
but I'm going to hang onto that for a good occasion. Right now it's a pinot grigio...and I had cheese earlier... that's right I am a member of the wine and cheese crowd and I'm not afraid to admit that.
I'm sick! [Fear not, I'm still going to the game, and I will give a report of my on-the-field experience.]
Go Blue! (I want a beer....)
Dry. Picture a basketball as the olive.
and yes, Jim Burr is Jim Beam...O do I miss the Big ten Tourney last year...gotta love college memories...
I'm all jacked up on Captain and Diet Dew! Woooooo!! It's almost gameday!
Just finishing some Crown XR...soon to be followed by an assortment of Sweetwater brews. Whatever the drinking equivalent of 'nom' is, insert it here, 3x.
bells expedition and double cream stout
Kool-aid, my friend. All season.
My personal favorite flavor is Heisman Kool-aid. It's 1 part dilithium, 1 part dreads, and 2 untied shoes.
So good I had to say it twice apparently.
Wife is working on baby number two and money is a bit tight so tonight's beverage of choice is whatever I can find. Started with Parrot Bay and Coke Zero (why yes, I am pretending to be a woman, how could you tell?) Now onto a newly discovered bottle of Bacardi Limon that was hiding in the garage.
I just discovered a bottle of tequila that had been left in our freezer after a party and realized that free tequila + lime + seltzer = better than spending money on new alcohol.
.. with keg beer compliments to keystone.
keystone light = dented cans of coors light
Got the last case in mi on my way back to tx
4 Loko....just kidding... Oberon. Go Blue!
I'm drinking the Denard Robinson Kool-aid.
And so are the announcers of the TCU-SMU game, by the way.
Aged in Buffalo Trace Oaken whiskey barrels.
Always been a beer man. Sam Adams would have to be my personal fave. Tonight though it's Mike's Hard and Bacardi Mojitos. Tryng some new things and I have to say that Mikes is some GOOOOOOD stuff. Have to work in the morning so sticking to my limits.
Leinie's Oktoberfest. Booyah.
Whisky bitch. And listening to Sublime
I picked up "Red Oval" from Trader Joes, because (1) it was cheap, and (2) I thought that anything that Trader Joes sells must be tasty. That logic is false - tastes like a mixture of apple cider and battery fluid.
Hazed and Infused, good ole Colorado beer :)
Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. First time I have had pumpkin beer. It is... interesting.
Like pumpkin beer but I just had this particular one this week and liked it. Perhaps because Dogfish Head goes so over the top with their flavoring that it actually tasted like pumpkin pie, rather than the typical pumpkin beer. most of them I find to be kind of watery and half-assed, kind of a cheap excuse to exploit the season.
I've had a lot more to say on this thread than I ever have on anything football-related. Hmm...
Iced tea. I gotta keep sharp or my kid will whup my ass in Dominion.
Speyburn 10yr Single Malt
I like an ice cube or two in scotch/bourbon but a lot of my whiskey-snob friends are opposed to it.
I usually toss an ice cube in there. I like my booze a little chilled. Also, the melting ice dilutes the liquor a bit and opens up the flavors. It sounds snobby, but I prefer not getting punched in the mouth.
My approach too. A little bit of chill and water so I'm thinking about something besides having my face burned off by the alcohol.
... Getting ready to crack open some Screamin' Pumpkin Spiced Ale.
PBR was on sale and I didn't get my student loan check yet. It could be worse.
Magic Hat H.I.P.A. which I picked up because it was one of the only decent beers the bodega offered. Better than I expected; more taste than the typical Magic Hat product. Now moving on to the Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA, which is a personal favorite.
Natty Lite damn cheap college parties.
- sent from some random laptop at this lame party. Who bumps Acoustic music over a stereo while playing beer pong??
India Amber Ale - Built like an IPA but with amber malt.
I know a little bit about beer brewing but not much - how is an amber malt distinguished from a typical malt? (It's all barley, right? Brewers talk a lot about the different kinds of hops they use, but not so much about varieties of barley.) And then what do you mean about being built like an IPA - does that refer to hop levels, alcohol levels, something else?
Good ol' Bud Light
the Denard kool-aid
Welcome to college, muh fugga
Dirty Bastard nice scotch style ale with shot of Makers Mark in bottom of iced mug. nice way to unwind after long week on the road.
